Out of all of the destinations I have been to, Iceland was by far the best place to go! Everything about our holiday was magical. The hotel itself was fairly budget, it was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was good (we are vegan and there was some options for us). Iceland is expensive, so we filled up on breakfast as much as we could. The location of the hotel is pretty perfect, the center is only a few minutes walk away where you can find bars, restaurants, gift shops and normal supermarkets. The town is very walkable but I would recommend hiring a car as you're not going to spend much time in your hotel or in the main town due to the fact that everything you want/need to see it a fair drive away. They also have a computer by the reception desk, which tells you all about the weather that day, and what the clouds are looking like etc, so you can determine the chances of you seeing the northern lights. We hired a car and only managed to do half of the island (it's huge). The furthest place we drove to was black sand beach, which took us about 2.5 hours, but we made plenty of stops to other beautiful destinations on the way like some of the waterfalls. We used the car at night time to also travel out of the main town to get to a spot as dark as possible in order to see the northern lights - it worked, we saw them twice! :) Another plus was, our car was a 4x4 so we was able to travel "off road" and trek through the mountainous routes - they was beautiful, but can be dangerous! “A great place to stay.”

Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and bed was extremely comfortable. The location was close to all amenities and bus stop. The breakfast area was spacious, clean and there was an abundance of choices of fresh food. A great place to stay!

“Modern and nice”

The room was modern and very clean. The bedroom had much space and was very open. It was also great that there were two chairs and a desk. However, the receptionist wasn’t very warm. Also the bathroom was very small and so was the shower. Everything became wet. The location wasn’t great either. But… more
