Fantastic hotel. The staff are welcoming from the minute you arrive, anytime you walk past them they always acknowledge you and are so helpful if you need anything, they really make the guests their first priority, and they all speak several languages including English. We were given a free upgrade (a first for us which left me speechless) to room 410 which had a beautiful view over the rooftops, and all the wee extras in it (Nespresso machine, dinner table and chairs, fridge etc) with the extra space has made us realise it's worth paying a wee bit more to get a better room when we visit again. The bed was super comfy, and the pillows were just perfect (I want those ones for my bed at home) The bedding was spotless and the duvet nice and cosy. The only bit that bugged me was there was no duvet cover, instead the duvet had a flat sheet on top and below it, but that's probably just how it's done in Hungary. The whole place was spotlessly clean, the housekeepers work hard here, and the one looking after our room was fantastic. If we left the card saying we didn't need anything done she didn't enter, but when we wanted her to come in she went above and beyond our expectations and we always returned at the end of the day to find a perfect room. The hallways outside the rooms are carpeted which kept down any noise, we loved the laminate in the rooms themselves, and the beautiful tiled floor downstairs. There's plenty of seating areas around the hotel, those weird shaped seats in the front hall are super comfy. We loved having the free tea/coffee/hot chocolate available 24/7 downstairs, I would have liked it if there had been decaffeinated coffee available though, but to be fair, there maybe would have been if I'd asked which I didn't. The location is brilliant, we love walking and found everywhere we wanted to go could be easily reached with a pleasant walk admiring the buildings, and even those incredible drains in the streets. It's only a few minutes from the parliament buildings, St Stephens Basilica is 10 minutes away, and we even walked to Buda castle (stopping to pick up pastries at Luis around the corner from the hotel and take photos going over the chain bridge) in about 40 minutes. For such a central location it's a really quiet hotel and we're looking forward to returning next year to visit the Christmas markets.

“Great hotel, location and staff. Recommended.”
Great hotel in a quiet area close to the Parliament building, Staff were very friendly and helpful. Easy to get around the city from the location. Room comfortable with a good breakfast. There are quite a few good restaurants and bars nearby. Would return.

“Meh. Was okay at best.”
The hotel was okay. Just okay, nothing special at all. Check int etc was smooth enough. The room I was disappointed with, it was tiny. The hotel was okay. Just okay, nothing special at all. Check int etc was smooth enough. The room I was disappointed with, it was tiny. I feel like this is a very European thing though, have tiny room and squeeze as many people in as you can. I mean, I get it, it’s a business but guest experience is also a thing. The temperature is centrally controlled again, can’t change it so it’s super hot at night. Word of warning for you guys incoming. The bathroom was a good size. I was very frustrated with the shower. The runners had come off the door and no one thought to address this and just left it. You gotta fight with it every time you get in to close the door. Nightmare. Rest was what you expect. Wouldn’t say stay clear, I would not rush back either.
