“A really enjoyable stay”

The only thing stopping me from giving it a five star is I contacted the hotel website twice before my holiday , requesting a back room away from the traffic and I had no response and when I arrived we were put in a front room . We didn’t complain as we didn’t want to make a fuss but either the website requests isn’t checked by the hotel or it is out of date . Everything else was fantastic , traffic noise apart a great stay. The trams the 17 or 61 followed by a 47 takes you to the bridge next to the market hall which is well worth a visit and the 8e bus takes you directly to the next bridge along and nearest the central shopping area , both are regular services from just across the road , we walked in a couple of times but it’s a 2 mile walk and not exactly a sonic delight 😊 Breakfast was the same every morning hot dog sausages /mixed with bacon , scrambled eggs and eggy bread and a mixture of cereals , yoghurts , bread and cheese and hams , perfectly adequate if you don’t want anything too fancy . Rooms were great not only air conditioned but also a fan , noise from the road apart which we got use to . Basic rooms but no complaints at all I was more than happy with mine and they were cleaned every day when we were out All reception staff were polite and helpful and spoke good English . They even allowed us to store our luggage on the last day free of charge as our taxi didn’t leave for the airport until 5pm Locally there’s a petrol station across the road for drinks and snacks and a fantastic and well priced restaurant 150 yards up the road which we would have visited more than the one time we did had it not been closed on the last few days of our holiday ( owner must have been going on his own holiday 😊) In summary this hotel deserves a lot of credit we had a great stay , my tip would be contact the hotel directly if you can or via your travel agents to get a back room away from the traffic , if you’re happy with the basics and don’t expect a wow factor you will enjoy your stay

“Comfortable but noisy front room.”

This hotel is clean and the breakfast is good value. A good range of fresh hot and cold food. The staff were helpful and check in was efficient. Unfortunately as our room was right at the front it was far too noisy! We used taxis to get around mainly.

“It's OK in an OK location.”

The lobby is small but cosy and the staff is helpful. Where the hotel is located, nothing else is there neither sightseeing or food options. The lobby is small but cosy and the staff is helpful. Where the hotel is located, nothing else is there neither sightseeing or food options. The only choice is a 711 style small store next to Petrol station about 3 minutes walk from the hotel. The hotel is on the Buda side and 5 minutes walk from the hotel is a bus stop that takes you straight to the pest side which has all the restaurants and more fun side. The hotel room was quite spacious and comfortable. However, be mindful of the not so great 🎭 Aircon with which we had to constantly use a table fan as well and it was not more than 30C outside.

“not a great start to our holidays”

This was booked for a late 21st present for my daughter our flight was late so we never arrived till 1.30am to find our booking agent suppose to have amended our booking from 2 rooms 4 people to 1 room 2 people so no room at the inn (hotel now fully booked) so to speak for 2 of us there was 4 of us… more

This was booked for a late 21st present for my daughter our flight was late so we never arrived till 1.30am to find our booking agent suppose to have amended our booking from 2 rooms 4 people to 1 room 2 people so no room at the inn (hotel now fully booked) so to speak for 2 of us there was 4 of us booked in the porter on the desk was a little irate after i asked what he was going to do basically he said well there is 2 beds eh no theres no way we can all share two beds so he took up 2 i would say kids beds with wooden slats that my partner broke a few times trying to just even get into it so he ended up with a very thin mattress on the floor at 2.30am.In the morning yes we could have our other room oh great so i told them i wanted confirmation about the amended booking oh they had to talk to the manager who we never saw the 3 days we were there dont get me wrong the receptionists i spoke to were very apologetic and they couldnt have done more for us but wasnt a great start and never got the confirmation from booking agent got 50euros compensation from hotel i payed more than that for 1 room. Rooms were clean breakfast was what we needed to start our day. Dont think we would stay here again after the drama
