“Beautiful hotel”

Stunning hotel. Staff were very courteous and polite. Beautiful surroundings, breakfast was amazing, the choice was immense. Good location, some nice bars and restaurants 5 minutes away, and good connnections to other parts using the trams

“Corinthia stay”

Our stay at the corinthia was nothing short of amazing. We enjoyed the spa multiple times, as well as Le bar in the beautiful lobby. We were lucky enough to have the same server each night, Achour. He was friendly and attentive to us every time. Amazing service in a beautiful atmosphere

My husband and I stayed at the Corinthia for four nights in December and really enjoyed our stay. The building and interiors are truly magnificent and it was always a pleasure returning to the hotel after a day or evening out in Budapest. We stayed in a Deluxe room which was very comfortable and the bathroom was a decent size with a bathtub and a separate shower. We had access to the Spa which was really great with a beautiful pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. We didn't have any treatments but heard they were excellent. Breakfast was good but not as good as I would have expected in a 5 star hotel. It was mostly self service but the staff seemed very stressed and a bit disorganised although in fairness it was very busy every day. We had dinner in the Atrium restaurant one evening and this was excellent. The food, wine and service were superb and the prices very reasonable. The bar was also very pleasant and the cocktails were great. The staff were in general friendly and helpful. The Concierge in particular gave us helpful information and good advice. The hotel is a little out of the centre of Budapest but it's an easy pleasant 15 minute walk. Transport is very efficient and there's a tram stop just outside the hotel. A suggestion for a small improvement in the bedroom would be to have a hook on the door, or somewhere in the room, to hang coats. It rained quite heavily on one day and we came back to the room with very wet coats and nowhere to hang them so had to drape them over chairs - we obviously didn't want to put them in the wardrobe! The reason I gave the hotel 4 stars rather than 5 is that one morning after I'd had a shower I discovered that no bath towels had been left. I called housekeeping who said they send some up straight away. After 15 minutes they hadn't arrived so I called again, was told they'd be sent but no one came with towels. Fortunately we had hand towels, but these were hardly adequate. Neither of the people I spoke to on the phone apologised and when I mentioned it to someone at Reception they seemed uninterested and didn't even ask for my room number. Despite this we really liked the hotel and would probably stay there again if we visit Budapest

“Good hotel / housekeeping lets it down.”

Hotel was lovely, rooms good / we had an executive room with access to exec lounge. Waiting staff in restaurants were very good and friendly. Hotel was lovely, rooms good / we had an executive room with access to exec lounge. Waiting staff in restaurants were very good and friendly. Staff in exec lounge were amazing / special mention to Jade for providing a 5 star service at every visit. Reception staff need to be more approachable and welcoming - even when not busy! Concierge staff were very helpful and friendly. Housecleaning was a bit of a let down. We had dirty bedsheets left in room, cleaners cleaning fluid bottle left in bathroom and no fresh towels left one day - this was over a 4 night stay! Also I don’t understand why a 5 star hotel leaves any bottles or glasses outside the rooms once cleaned - staying there for several hours - it makes the corridors look messy?? Didn’t use the Spa but it looked good. Told a staff member would come and talk to us about the facilities when we went down to have a look. We waited were asked to for 10 minutes and nobody showed up.
