“A perfect base to visit a lovely city”
An absolutely beautiful hotel with such friendly and helpful staff to make you welcome. An absolutely beautiful hotel with such friendly and helpful staff to make you welcome. The ambience and decor is lush, opulent and full of character and our room was so warm and comfortable when the weather outside was less than ideal. Very comfortable bed and a lovely jacuzzi bath. The breakfasts were superb. Location could not be better for seeing the sites. We were a little disconcerted to find our room was in another period house just along the canal but actually the walk to breakfast was invigorating and the supply of plentiful umbrellas was thoughtful!

“Fantastic and warm, helpful, appreciative staff!”
It was just what I needed! I stayed in 227. Best bathtub, canal view, and quiet but in the heart of the city. So much to do in the area. When I had an issue accessing the cold water for my bath, Fatima was a fantastic, accommodating person. Great service and beautiful hotel! Stay here!

Absolutely wonderful! The room (deluxe, canal view) was beautiful. Very well appointed and a beautiful view of the canal. The staff were unfailingly spectacular! A special shout-out to Fatima, Linda, Kevin, Tony, Abdullah - and anyone else we forgot to mention! Fantastic location; within walking distance to a million attractions and restaurants (and close to the tram for more distant destinations).

This hotel is gorgeous! Great location for exploring the canals. The staff at the hotel were impeccable. A big thank you to Abdullah who contacted me before arrival to see if we needed anything, sent recommendations, booked a restaurant for us, showed us to our room..... so kind and friendly and nothing was too much trouble! We booked direct with the hotel which meant we got a lovely surprise upgrade! We had a beautiful room with a spa bath, complimentary drinks and they even put balloons up in our room. I would highly recommend a trip here and can't wait to go back.
