I stayed one night and it was all good. Staff very friendly. Close to city center I recommend for people who is staying for a short time in Amsterdam 1-2 days. “Good budget hotel”
I booked the City Garden Amsterdam on rather short notice for a business trip. I opted for a room in the basement. Booking, check-in and check-out went very easy. I booked the City Garden Amsterdam on rather short notice for a business trip. I opted for a room in the basement. Booking, check-in and check-out went very easy. In the room itself, it was a bit tough to control the AC, but the bed, towels and toilet were clean. I did not book breakfast, so I can not share any experience on that. Overall, a good and budget-friendly option for Amsterdam.

Look, it did the job but we wouldn't stay again. The noise from rooms above and around is so disruptive I couldn't sleep many nights as it felt like the floor will fall in on top of us or elephants were moving furniture upstairs. Look, it did the job but we wouldn't stay again. The noise from rooms above and around is so disruptive I couldn't sleep many nights as it felt like the floor will fall in on top of us or elephants were moving furniture upstairs. The hotel itself is in a great location though and walking distance to lots of sights and restaurants. The rooms were clean and had the basics but don't expect any extras, we didn't even have a fridge unfortunately. Thank God for the vending machine in the foyer.
