Our stay was wonderful. The food was great, the staff was professional and friendly. Our room was always clean and the housekeeping staff was wonderful. Our Butlers were excellent and always ready to meet our needs. All the staff from management down was outstanding. The special lunch for the Diamond guests and dinner were really special. We appreciated all the great attention we got. All the employes in the restaurants, gift shop, and Ice cream shop were super nice. The only thing i would like on our next visit is to have our bed lowered, I am not a tall person and my husband has had three back surgeries plus two knee replacements, so it was difficult for us to get in bed, even with the step stoll provided. What a great holiday. This is by far our favourite Sandals. It’s 2 minutes from the airport which makes the transfer a delight. That said, you rarely hear any aircraft because the airport isn’t busy. The size of the complex is perfect and it never felt overly busy. The food was excellent with a good variety of restaurants. Butch’s Chophouse was a particular favourite. It’s the staff that make the place. They are sincere, professional and proud to have you as guests in Grenada. The entertainment is good and the drinks selection (cocktails and branded spirits) are excellent. Kisselle at the pool bar deserves a lot of praise. She was so upbeat and friendly. A true credit to the hotel. That said, all the staff were excellent and nothing was ever too much trouble. Management are visible and happy to welcome you and discuss your stay which shows that extra level of professionalism. We had planned to visit another Sandals next year, but we booked to come back here before we even left!

“Excellent Resort”

I visited this resort for my 60th birthday, I had such an awesome time. From the checking in the welcome was amazing . The staff were friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend this resort. Will be returning again soon.

We really enjoyed our stay at Sandals Grenada. This was our third Sandals, with the others being Le Toc and Barbados. For us I think we liked Grenada and Barbados about equally the same, but for different reasons. For starters, travel to Grenada was great. Flights from JFK were very limited, but the Jetblue flights we took arrive early enough so you can enjoy the late afternoon of your first day and you can enjoy nearly a half day at the resort before having to go home. A big reason for this is that the resort is only three minutes away from the airport. That is no exaggeration, we timed it. But for being that close you rarely heard any airplane noise at the resort, which was great. The staff is one of the best parts of this resort. Everyone super friendly and helpful. English is the primary language of the island so no problems with language barriers.  Maybe they were at lower capacity, but it seemed like it was not crowded at all. You still have to play the chair game if you want one of the really good beach or pool seats, but there were still plenty of seats available, even with umbrellas, no matter what time you went out there. Always plenty of towels available during the day, but by end of the day they were mostly gone. Rarely did we have to wait for a restaurant, the only exception was the French restaurant where we waited 25 minutes. But we spent that time watching a band and could have easily waited longer. The lower capacity might be why it felt like a much less social Sandals than the others we went to. For example, at Barbados we had people coming up and chatting with us constantly. At Grenada there was much less, especially by the beach pool. Also a lot less participation in things like volleyball. On the plus side, there was nobody running around drunk.  The nightly entertainment was great. We especially liked the bands and the Sandals Live show with the drums that encouraged audience participation. The entertainment venue is down near the beach and it can get pretty loud down there, so if you retire early you might want to stay farther up from the beach. We stayed in the Pink Gin Oceanfront (room 1203) and some evenings we would just hang in the room with the patio door open and it was like you were sitting near the band.   This was one of the safest resorts I have ever been to, or it at least felt super safe. It was surprising to me to see so many cell phones and tablets just sitting out in full view on chairs and tables. Even on the beach where there were a couple vendors wandering around. When we went offsite our tour guide said the crime rate on the island is super low. I will also say the vendors on the beach were no problem at all. It was really just one old guy, who mostly liked to just chit-chat, and an older woman who only occasionally walked up and down the beach. Saw one other guy one day but he too was really low pressure.  As others have noted, the beach is small, but it's super clean (no seaweed washed up on the beach) and you can see a lot of fish right off the beach. I was really surprised when snorkeling to see a large barracuda just hanging out over by the jetty.  The free 3pm boat ride was better than expected. I thought it was literally just going to be a boat ride, but you got an informative tour of the area near the resort. We also did the offsite tour where you drive your own Jeep in a convoy. Expensive ($480 for two people) but fun. Saw the key attractions on the island. Driving on the narrow and busy roads was a bit of a thrill, but not recommended for anyone who stresses out easily. The restaurants were the same ones you find at other Sandals - Butch's, Tipsy Turtle, Soy, etc. But they were still really good. Went to Butch's twice. The only one where we were less than impressed with the food was Neptunes, but the view of the beach makes up for it.  Only complaint was the bathroom. Not having a door to the area with the shower and sink was no big deal, saw that plenty of other places as well. The issue was the little side room with the toilet. That room is so tiny you feel like you are in the airplane bathroom. The toilet is also really low to the ground, and there is no ventilation.  Would definitely consider going back to this Sandals in the future.
