December 22, 2024, just in the Christmas time, we received the greatest gift from Mr. Martin Benker and Hotel Maison Messmer also was the most touching day for my friends and me. When we stayed the Maison Messmer Hotel, my friend discovered that she had accidentally left her passport, which had just been processed for a tax refund, at the Swiss border. The border was nearly 200 kilometers away from the hotel, and the limited time made it impossible for us to retrieve it ourselves. Initially, we were disappointed and ready to give up. There is not direct way that could contact border. Fortunately, Mr. Martin Benker at the hotel reception went above and beyond to help us. He tried different way for us to confirm that the passport was safely kept at the Schaffhausen Customs Police Station and arranged for a dedicated person and vehicle to retrieve it and deliver it directly to our hotel in Frankfurt. Mr. Martin Benker is a truly kind and empathetic individual who helped us resolve a challenging situation. We are also grateful to Tripadvisor for providing this platform, allowing us to express our utmost respect and heartfelt thanks to Mr. Martin Benker.

“Great Place for a break”
Just stunning, especially the staff, NOTHING was too much, can we get you a drink? Can we park your car? Plenty of staff always around the whole hotel. English language perfection helped too. The public underground car park can get busy and is a bit tight but all good. We will be back!

Hotel Review: Maison Messmer, Baden-Baden I recently stayed at Maison Messmer in Baden-Baden and overall had a pleasant experience, though there are a few areas where the hotel could improve. Here’s a breakdown of my stay: The Good: The staff at Maison Messmer truly stood out, offering excellent service from the reception desk to the breakfast and restaurant teams. Their professionalism and attentiveness made a great first impression. The rooms were impeccably clean and tastefully decorated, reflecting the luxury you’d expect from a five-star property. The hotel’s location is unbeatable—right in the heart of Baden-Baden. Being able to walk anywhere and enjoy the beautiful surrounding parks added so much to our stay. The OK: While the hotel does meet the standards of a luxury collection property, I did find that the experience lacked a personal touch. Despite its five-star status, I felt more like just another guest rather than someone enjoying a tailored luxury experience. This is an area where the hotel could make improvements to enhance guest satisfaction. Room for Improvement: The spa is undoubtedly beautiful and well-designed, but it falls short in one crucial aspect—comfort. There are no chairs or loungers available for guests to take a quick nap or rest between sauna sessions or after a swim. I found myself having to stand or simply sit at the bar while waiting for the next sauna, which detracted from the relaxation experience. As a Mexican living in Germany, I understand that this might be a cultural difference, but I was a bit disappointed when celebrating my birthday at the hotel. I had requested some special room decorations or a small gesture, but the hotel was unable to accommodate this. It would be nice if the hotel could offer these kinds of personal touches, especially for special occasions. Final Thoughts: Maison Messmer is an excellent choice for a short getaway, especially if you’re looking for a weekend escape. The location, cleanliness, and service are top-notch, making it a worthwhile stay for two nights. However, if you’re seeking a highly personalized experience or top-tier spa comfort, there might be some room for improvement.
