While researching hotels to stay at while in Baden Baden, there are many to choose from. We were lucky to pick Aqua Aurelia. There isn't much to not like about the hotel. The hotel has underground easy access to both Caracalla and Friedrichsbad spas, so if the weather is bad, you don't have to go outside. The hotel is an easy 5 minute walk to many restaurants for dinner if you want. The Faberge museum is just a 2 minute away. The breakfast at the hotel was very good with a wide variety and you can order eggs of any type you want. They also provide fresh squeezed juices. The rooms are very spacious and more than enough space if you have a lot of luggage. Compared to other hotels, the bathroom is very large. While in Baden Baden it rained every day we were there, but the hotel provided umbrellas for guest use. The best part of the hotel are the employees. Everyone is so friendly and always willing to help their guests. One employee in particular, Geistaute, was exceptional....always smiling, always willing to do whatever it takes to make you comfortable during your stay. We highly recommend staying at Aqua Aurelia. A truly wonderful place to enjoy Baden Baden.

“Frequent Travellers Give High Praise”

This was an unexpected delight! The hotel was well located near the thermalbads - actually has an access to the Caracalla through the garage below. This was an unexpected delight! The hotel was well located near the thermalbads - actually has an access to the Caracalla through the garage below. Easy walk to the Faberge Museum, shops and restaurants. The staff was absolutely wonderful, the restaurant was amazing - great service, great cuisine, great prices. We'd dined in for lunch, then ordered room service later. Compared to our last hotel stay elsewhere there was double the amount of food at half the cost. Our room was quite large, the bathroom spacious and CLEAN. I cannot tell you how I appreciate not seeing someone else's hair on the floor or shower and I'm afraid it's rare. We did visit the Caracalla baths. A little disappointed. The water was definitely not from the natural springs, it was chlorinated and was warm, not hot. Would have liked to experience the historic Friedrichsbad (the real deal) but it is all nude and we're a bit shy so we opted for the Caracalla. There are steam rooms, an infrared lounging area, a cold dip area and a small hot pool - which was so crowded we declined to be part of the human soup. After a brief dip in the pool we took an expensive nap! It was so crowded we couldn't use any of the amenities. There is a sauna upstairs, but again - no clothing allowed. The town is charming, with many upscale retail shops, antique stores and restaurants. The Faberge Museum was nice, and though there were but a few actual eggs, it was rich in artefacts of Russian history and that of Peter Carl Fabergé. We had a relaxing, enjoyable visit and would definitely stay here again.

Picture perfect town of Baden Baden is now one of favorites. Property is located slightly up the hill from the town center next to the thermal baths. Check in was professional yet friendly (front desk staff was excellent). Parking is a breeze in the garage. Room was over sized with a really nice patio overlooking the church and thermal building. Bed was good, bathroom was large with a great shower. Close to many place to eat. Would stay again for sure.

Lovely room, with a nice view of the street and peaceful town down the hill. The hotel doesnt do anything exceptional - there's no facilities as such and we didnt use the very small restaurant / bar. But as Baden Baden is one of the dullest places I've ever visited (and I say that in a way not to say it is rubbish, but just very dull), the hotel does a great job of representing the town. Elegant, expensive and peaceful. They used to have digital services enabled on the TVs - but in a hysterical over reaction to people complaining that they had left themselves logged into their Netflix accounts, blocked these services rather than just tell the customers to log off remotely. As such, the TV (one of the few things to do in the town by night) was virtually inaccessible to non German speakers. The staff however were terrific. Helpful, kind, chatty and all wonderful people. But I can imagine the Christmas party is remarkably sedate!
