Hotel Mystique has just finished been remodeled and changed its name from previously known as "Haus Daheim". Living a majority of the year in hotels, I can see that every detail has been thought through. The owners, world travelers themselves, equipped every room with attention to detail, decorated with great taste and maintain impeccable cleanliness. Do not miss the lovely breakfast which offers a huge selection of German and international food choices, including delicious Italian coffee. Pay attention to the small details which show the love the owners put into their business. The owners and staff speak multiple languages and will do everything to make you feel welcome and home. Hotel Mystique is located in the pedestrian zone of Bad Homburg and is only 2 minutes walking distance to one of Germany's largest park, the Kurpark. The hotel does not serve food beside breakfast but there are many fabulous restaurants in the same street. Price, location and the comfortable feeling is a no brainer to book again.

This was my second stay in the Hotel Haus Daheim in Bad Homburg. My last was three years ago. The hotel is centrally located yet peaceful, and has the famous and attractive Kur Park within a couple of minutes walk. The main shopping street (Louisenstrasse), the cultural centre (the Kurhaus), and the historic Schloss, with its gardens, are all close by, as is the pretty old town quarter. The hotel is warm and comfortable, with large well-appointed rooms, each with shower, wc, tv and wifi. Breakfasts are typical for Germany and are of a very high standard. The proprietor, Raphael, and the staff are friendly, obliging and all speak English. Frankfurt is less than 30 minutes away by train, and Koenigstein, with its huge ruined castle is little further by bus or car. Were I to return to the area, I would always stay at this hotel if at all possible.

I have been enjoying hotel Haus Daheim in Bad Homburg being for the first time in Germany. It was a rather spontaneous trip and booking, yet the hotel didn’t disappoint, moreover I found a special and authentic place. Both retro admirers, looking for authentic atmosphere and those looking for a homey feel, quietness and privacy, would enjoy its respectable charm. It’s centrally located just off Louisenstrasse – the central shopping street, with walking distance to all main attractions. The hotel consists of 3 floors without an elevator, so ask for floor 1 or 2 if you have heavy luggage. Double room was spacious and nicely furnished and lit. Single rooms look different from each other and vary in size and amenities, my recommended one would be room 21. Breakfast was very nice and varied, including a big choice of tasty sausages and cheeses and amazing coffee. I enjoyed returning to the hotel in the end of the day, it feels very much like a private house thanks to a million of details: comfortable beds, vases with chocolates, apples, magazines, and thanks to very attentive yet delicate staff. Personally, I liked this hotel a lot, as I appreciate vintage places, however was particularly pleased when my friend, more of 5 stars hotel type of person, said she really liked the hotel and would return too.

This is a charming villa cum hotel as best we can tell. There are a variety of rooms with specialised touches and the Hotel caters to smoking & non-smoking guests. We began in a down stairs room which was disastrous; but moved to a larger, comfortable & elegant room. Room includes small fridge; breakfast is not huge, but an ample buffet is provided and the setting is cozy. If one is on an overnight or especially a holiday journey, this is a perfect place. If you need 'business support' then go elsewhere. The staff are really lovely! However, they do not speak English and only a 'little German'. The folk at reservations speak both languages. The Hotel is situated in an area not far from the park which means a nice evening stroll is possible. And there are several very reasonably priced restaurants within walking distance of the Hotel. They do not provide meals except breakfast. We are enjoying our stay here & recommend it with the above provisions. Nice people, friendly service.
