“Great city break hotel”

Really good value hotel. Great location next to the train station and close enough to the centre. Reception were very friendly and helpful, great service all around. Loved the little extras thrown in too like the free beer and snacks in the room.

We arrived early and were allowed to park in the hotel car park. This is accessed via a car lift. Self check in was very straightforward. Reception staff were very pleasant and helpful. I had an issue with the safe in my room. Spoke to the receptionist who dealt with it immediately. I had a large double room. Both the room and bathroom were clean and obviously well maintained. Although large the room also felt quite cosy, as did the hotel. Situated close to the Hauptbahnof and only about 20 minutes walk to Marienplatz. If you don't want to walk there is excellent public transport

“Good hotel in a good location”

Kings is a short walk from Munich Hbf - both of them! There are 2!! Check in was easy with welcoming staff at reception - and whose English was way better than my limited German! Kings is a short walk from Munich Hbf - both of them! There are 2!! Check in was easy with welcoming staff at reception - and whose English was way better than my limited German! Kings is also only a stroll through the Botanical Garden into Munich Old Town. The room was well presented and clean. Whilst at the rear of the hotel, the trams passing on Dachaeur Str. still rumbled! We forwent the daily room service in return for which we received a voucher to the value of 10€ redeemable at the hotel restaurant or bar. There are plenty of places to eat nearby as the restaurant menu is a bit limited and if you are unwilling to pay hotel prices for breakfast, the station offers plenty.

From the moment we entered the hotel, we were greeted with warmth and kindness. It made us really feel at home. Richard Winkler at reception was fantastic and I wish every hotel had someone like him to greet people! He was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay and made us enjoy Munich even more. The hotel has a very good incentive to stay environmentally friendly by providing a 10 Euro voucher (as of the time of writing) instead of getting housekeeping. I believe it was per night (we only stayed 2 nights so not entirely sure whether was applicable per night stay). I stayed in a comfort twin room with 2 single beds. The room was probably a bit too small for 2 people but we managed, the same can be said of the bathroom. The drinks in the mini-bar were free and contained alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. You can get free coffee and tea by the reception area and they were of a good quality. The breakfast area was of a decent size and had large desks to accommodate groups. During my time there, not many people were around, so I cannot say how it would be like if lots of visitors were around. The food options were not the best for vegetarians but sufficient for non-veggies. King’s Hotel is a 5–6-minute walk from the main Munich station, so is very conveniently located. All the main sites are within walking distance and easy to get to. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel and a special shout out for Richard Winkler who was brilliant.
