A great value hotel in a convenient location in central Munich, close to the Hauptbahnhof. I stayed in a single room, which was surprisingly spacious. The room was well designed, modern and had everything I needed. Staff were very friendly and helpful. It was an unexpected bonus to find breakfast included. I would definitely stay here again on my next visit.

“Always a pleasant stay at the Arthotel”

I am a repeat customer. The Arthotel is conveniently located between the main railroad station and Oktoberfest. The rooms are wonderful and the staff helpful. I always enjoy their breakfast in the morning. They serve a variety of items to eat.

I stayed twice in October: -- once in a standard double room which was tight but functional for two persons for one night. The bathtub/shower was huge, but a little difficult to get in and out. In anticipation of returning a week later with the rest of my family, I wrote to the hotel contact with my concern about shower access --especially for my senior husband. I received a prompt and friendly response assuring me that my reservation for a "double room -- comfort" would allow easy access for my husband, and it did. I did have a little trouble navigating the software and availability for my second stay (I needed two rooms for 6 persons (4 in one) and didn't understand the 'comfort' option) which may have led to both rooms being made up for four persons. That made the space a little tight, so I immediately asked the front desk to remove this bedding and return it to the couch/futon arrangement. The front desk staff was courteous and prompt. And since the housekeeping staff was gone for the day, the front desk staff person came herself and restored the room back to a two person comfort setting. The mechanics of the futon was a little tricky, she called for assistance, and it was all taken care of very quickly and professionally. 5 star service! The breakfast buffet was phenomenal! Huge assortments and options and a full team of attendents monitoring, bussing tables and replenishing. Do pay attention to the elevator notice of busy hours and go before 9:00 if possible. After that there are lines at each item, and seating is at a premium. On my first stay, I had to catch a train quickly, and was able to make a simple sandwich to take in lieu of a sit down breakfast. The only negative was that I found a mass of hair that must have been clogging the shower drain. It had been removed but must have fallen off the mop and remained in the shower area. Other than that, the entire room was clean and comfortable. I have stayed in other hotels on the Bayerstrasse, which did cost a bit less. They were much smaller and did not offer breakfast which more than made up the difference. I will stay again and will recommend the Art Hotel to friends. Side note: I was disappointed that the city sidewalks leading from the Haupbahnhof (only 1/2 a block away) were strewn with trash, but I appreciated getting to the clean Art Hotel even more.
