“A hotel staff that truly cares for its guests”

I just completed a 6-day stay in this hotel, at least my third in recent years--it's comfortable, quiet, reasonably priced, and in a wonderful neighbourhood full of Jugendstil (German Art Nouveau) architecture. While living in Hamburg in 1989, I had my parents stay at Hotel Vorbach, so my knowledge of this property goes back a long time. This stay proved how exceptional the staff is. At check-in, the reception was particularly warm and welcoming, treating me like an old friend. I experienced a health emergency during my stay, necessitating summoning an ambulance in the middle of the night, and a second ambulance call a few days later. Not only did the staff take all this drama in stride, they showed true concern and were helpful and supportive in many ways. This extraordinary behaviour from multiple staff members made a big difference, reducing my anxiety over my health situation. I will be forever grateful, and wouldn't consider any other place to stay in Hamburg.

I have stayed in this hotel several times over the last years both because it is convenient for work and also because of its qualities. For those who like ultra-modern hotels it is better to look elsewhere, but the rooms are spacious and have high ceilings, the beds are comfortable and there is a good bathroom with a decent shower, The staff on reception are always helpful and friendly and the breakfast is excellent. There is a small bar and lounge downstairs for your convenience. It is one of those hotels which still have door keys instead of cards. I shall continue staying there.

We had this hotel booked by the organizers of the conference I participated in. It's a very cozy place, bit old-fashioned with a keys instead of cards for door rooms. The room I stayed in was clean and very spacious. The bed was very soft and my sleep was really excellent. The breakfast is very good and satisfying, with a choice between a boiled and a scrambled egg, the later they are preparing on demand. The staff was very friendly and polite. The only minus of this hotel is that it located a bit far of the city center, but the subway station is not far away. All in all Vorbach is a really nice hotel for a business stay
