Hesitated to book this hotel because several reviews indicated it’s a dated hotel. To my surprise, this hotel is perfectly fine. The room is clean, the house keeping is well performed, from front desk to Resturant, services are professional, friendly and way above average Marriott standards. The location is excellent, right inside of the main shopping attraction, yet the hotel still offers a very quiet and clam environment. The Elite club lounge is small. Evening offer is very basic, but breakfast is excellent, especially the omelette. Mr Yaser makes the perfect omelette, same ingredients from any other restaurant, any other omelette stations, but for some reason, Yaser’s omelette is perfectly yummy every time, he’s a truly treasure to Marriott Hamburg! 😎👍 Thank you Marriott Hamburg! The Hamburg Marriott Hotel offers an unforgettable experience with its exceptional location in one of the best parts of the city. The entrance is adorned with ancient trees, creating a serene and picturesque setting. The rooms are impeccably clean, well-sized, and feature high-quality beds, ensuring a comfortable night's sleep. The breakfast is comprehensive and of excellent quality. Above all, the professional and impressive service from the reception staff and others is truly unparalleled, leaving a lasting impression. While the hotel is not cheap, it makes you feel that the value received is well worth the price paid, and that your investment is a wise one.

“Very nice hotel but with some problems”

The Marriott Hamburg is under renovation so what guests see and experience, is likely still a work in progress. We had a number of negative observations yet, strangely, these issues did not stop us from enjoying our one night stopover in Hamburg. It will be a nice property once renovation wrinkles are ironed out. Our visit did not start well. There was no doorman to greet us and help with our luggage. Check-in was straightforward but there was no offer to get someone to help us with our luggage to our room. We may be wrong but, based on our interaction with the front desk staff both in the evening and in the morning, we sensed that they too are a work in progress. We had booked a room on the Executive Floor. It was very spacious although plain and sparsely decorated. It consisted of two double beds—- do they not have rooms with King size beds? The TV is fabulous, the best we have ever had in a hotel. The bathroom was large and nicely finished. We are Gold Bonvoy members but there were no upgrades available or so we were told. Hotel did not look very busy but, in fairness, we don’t know what percentage of the rooms are under renovation. This was, however, the second Marriott property in a row to tell us that no upgrades were available—- wonder if Gold members are being ignored? Either the HVAC controls were not functioning or I could not figure out how to work a simple plus/minus dial. All night, the fan blew in air at a constant temperature —we would have preferred it a little cooler. Since we were tired from the day’s travels, we managed to sleep. There is a very nice lounge bar on the ground level in which food is served. At first look, the lovely decor appears to invite you into a nice quiet space. Unfortunately, the acoustics are terrible and various conversations bounce off the walls making it uncomfortably loud and irritating. Again, the impression is that staff are still learning on the job. The huge bonus and redeeming feature was the Executive lounge. Firstly, in the evening, wine, beer and soft drinks are available at no charge. We had arrived too late to enjoy the food that is put out. Secondly, the complimentary breakfast is one of the best buffets we have had, with a chef cooking eggs to order. Who can complain when you leave satisfied on a full stomach :)

“Classic Marriott experience”

Located at the center close to everything , nice spacious rooms, nice breakfast. All provided soaps and lotions in the room have very nice smell. Hotel staff was kind and helpful. You can hear loud noises from the street sometimes at low floors.
