Excellent hotel and staff were super friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent and very fresh produce, items were hygienically portioned. Hotel was extremely clean. This hotel was about a 10min walk to main train stain and about 15 mins to Christmas markets. Plenty of restraunts in locality. As previously stated on other reviews location is not great at night, especially if travelling alone

“Terrible location for an otherwise good hotel”

The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. The hotel foyer was small, a little dated but in excellent condition, with the breakfast room off to the side, which looked well kept and well stocked. The hallways outside the rooms were well maintained and light and airy. The room was very neat and clean, and although a little dated, it was in very good condition. The room was small and had a single king-size bed. The bed was very comfortable, and the linen was clean and adequate. The bathroom, albeit tight, was good enough for a slim single person. All the rooms overlooked the street, which is great during the day, but sadly not at night, especially if you want to leave your window open for some fresh air. The room had excellent air conditioning and excellent curtains and blinds and windows that opened fully. There was even some fresh fruit in my room upon arrival. The neighbourhood was sadly the drawback for this hotel. There were a number of unsavoury men in the streets during the day. Men hanging around on street corners, some intoxicated, taking drugs or doing drug deals in front of my eyes. At the other end of the street, I was propositioned by a female prostitute during the early afternoon. I didn't go out at night, as I didn't feel safe to do so. I would NOT recommend this neighbourhood to any single woman or man who aren't confident in themselves. During the evening, in the middle of the week, there were a large number of mainly men, congregating in the street, outside neighbouring restaurants, making a hell of a noise, well past midnight. I would not have felt comfortable walking past these groups of men, who sounded either intoxicated or otherwise. Sadly, the neighbourhood makes this hotel very undesirable.

The hotel is a good choice near the train station and convenient to downtown attractions. It is a fifteen-minute walk to the skyscrapers and fifteen minutes in the other direction to the museums. However, the neighborhood can be a challenge. We were comforted by the fact that there were plenty of police around. It is also near a number of trendy restaurants, and that was a plus as well. The rooms are small, but very clean and very comfortable. The television has plenty of English channels.
