stayed for 3 nights with a group of lads (14 of us) for my sons bachelor. Check in took a little while, probably due to the size of our group but overall service was good. I stayed in a city room 225 which was quiet (well away from the night tram others have mentioned). Room was clean with tea & coffee making facilities and a pay bar, housekeeping was good each day. Downstairs bar was our meeting point where the beer was good (6 euros like the rest of the city) and the staff were smiling and efficient. Location excellent - a short walk through the lovely park to the old town, also only 15 minutes from the airport. Would have given it 5 stars but they failed to respond to an email I sent prior to our arrival

“Good stay”

We went here for 2 days. The location is very good. About 10 minute walk to the city centre, and restaurants, shopping. Good neighborhood too. The rooms are spacious and clean. We went here for 2 days. The location is very good. About 10 minute walk to the city centre, and restaurants, shopping. Good neighborhood too. The rooms are spacious and clean. The bar on the ground floor is nice. The staff was very good there. There was a bug in our room, a flying one. I took photos and showed it at the reception and all they could do was shrug their shoulders. Would have liked a better compensation than that. I asked him to add Melia points to my account but he said he couldn't. There is free street parking outside.

We booked a short break via British Airways Holidays and paid for an upgrade to a Premium Room Park View. A few days before we arrived I emailed the hotel to request a quiet high floor room to which I didn't receive a reply. On arrival, check in was straight forward, but we struggled to open the room door using the key card provided, but eventually it worked. The room was as requested, but the safe didn't work. On our way out for dinner we brought this to the attention of the gentleman on reception. He said the safe battery probably needed replacing and we were offered either a change of room or one of the maintenance team would replace the battery between 08:00 & 09:00 the following morning. We chose the latter. The next day no one arrived to repair the safe and neither did we get an update from reception. The safe still hadn't been repaired when we left so we had to carry our valuables and passports with us throughout our stay. On returning to the hotel on our first evening the room key card wouldn't work at all. We went back to reception where the same gentleman said I must have held the key card by my phone (I hadn't) He provided a replacement key card which worked fine throughout the rest of our stay. On a positive note the breakfast was very good, but a hotel of this price and standard should provide better communication and customer service.

This was our third stay here for 3 nights. Great location opposite a beautiful park and walking distance to everything you would like to see in the centre of Düsseldorf. On the positive side, house keeping was excellent - so please pass this on to your colleagues. Clean towels daily, bed linen changed on day 2 which was unexpected. Water, still and sparking were supplied daily which was a nice touch. Unfortunately its the front of house service lets this establishment down….A miserable colleague (K Te) during the check in process, she had zero personality making us feel very unwelcome. We paid for breakfast during check in however this was forgotten about on the latter 2 days which lead to an interrogation by the staff before we could enter the breakfast area. No acknowledgement from reception staff when coming in and out of the hotel, just a glare again making us feel unwelcome. What we found very strange was each evening when we left our room to go and eat, the staff had been in there, closed the curtains and put chocolates on the pillow. Personally I found this an invasion of our privacy and felt like we were being monitored on our comings and goings. We paid extra for breakfast which in all honestly was not worth it, you would be better off finding somewhere local. Far too many flies around the fruit/salad area. The hot food was overcooked and dry. The Coffee from the machine disgusting! Average.
