Very authentic design revolving around music! The rooms are frugal, but decorated cutely and the carpeted floor looks like grass and is soft and clean. The piano-like table and the decorative teddy bear are awesome additions! The area around is quiet and the parking spot beside the hotel is affordable and reliable (parking is not included in the daily room rate, clarify the prices with the Front Office).You can commute to the Altstadt by tram, an e-scooter (if you find any around) or by bike, it is around 15-20 minutes' ride or 35-40 minutes on foot. The breakfast is worth it and, apart from a sufficient selection of coffee types, tea flavours and food, you will enjoy an area reminiscent of synthesizers, vinyl, stave and nostalgic music while having your morning coffee. Another plus is the complete cashless payment method used within the hotel, including tipping, so forget about the "cash is king" rule for a while. This policy gets off you the pressure of looking for ATMs for cash withdrawal and you can relax with using your bank card for everything, including tips to the staff. Speaking of which, the staff has a professional approach. They are polite; don't expect the American style wide smile and chattiness, but for sure expect people to mirror your approach: the kinder you are, the more kindness you get back. Overall, an enjoyable stay in a hotel with best attention to detail. Rooms: Clean, well-aired (windows opening properly) and relatively frugal rooms, meaning no wardrobes or drawers, only hangers. The latter is an advantage because you are less likely to forget things in the room upon departure. No housekeeping service provided by default if your stay is less than 3 nights, unless you explicitly request it from the reception, which is an advantage for guests supporting eco-friendly practices. The frequent and objectively needless change of bedsheets and towels is unreasonable and a five-star service does not mean it should cost the environment. In-room L'OR coffee machine with Jacobs capsules. Walkability: Walking distance from Dresden Altstadt is ~40 min., commuting by tram or bike/e-scooter riding takes ~20 min. Convenient for guests coming by car.
