“Traditional food, rustic rooms”
The hotel has very friendly staff and are quite helpful, especially Mr. Hollis. The rooms are simple with a german rustic touch, especially in the top floors where the old wooden structures are visible. A good deal for the price - try the Wiener Schnitzel with Spaetzle!

The hotel is well located near Darmstadt main square and shopping streets. The rooms and buildings were a bit outdated, the elevator was broken in the side building where my room was located. The hotel is well located near Darmstadt main square and shopping streets. The rooms and buildings were a bit outdated, the elevator was broken in the side building where my room was located. Very small shower, I could hear noises from the other guests and from the street. Staff was friendly and breakfast was nice. Overall my stay was ok but I didn't rest much in the end.

The first time I went to this restaurant it was excellent service. I sat inside and the waiter was a nice gentleman. I used my German app on my iPhone and worked great. The second time I went with my husband and sat outside but our waiter was grumpy. The third time I took a colleague and we had the same grumpy waiter. We won't be going back. The fish was excellent so no complaints about the food but only the waiter. A great restaurant is not just about the food but the service needs to be excellent as well.
