“Perfect Location”

Quaint friendly hotel with a clean atmosphere. Small rooms with all the amenities available. Nice atmosphere. Great location between Alte Liebe and the City. Covered and secured bike storage. Great restaurants nearby.

“This is an efficent, well run hotel”

We enjoyed our short stay here. The rooms have all you need and the staff are friendly and helpful. It is a central place in Cuxhaven with the nearby street of shops and coffee shop/bakeries. If we ever are in the area again we would love to stay here again.

I want to compliment this hotel because I come very often due to my husband’s work and the location of the hotel is perfect for walks to the city center, the kugelbage, the pier where the tourist boats go to Helgoland and to see the seehunden. Breakfast is all you can eat and has a good variety of items. The coffee is brought to you. The staff is very helpful but they close the reception at 8:00 pm, so if you have not arrived yet, they Keane you a message on the door (in your language) stating how to retrieve your room key from the safety box. The rooms are cleaned and have everything you need for the night. There are also instructions for safety (fire, etc). Right now there is contraction next door but if you are out, you will not hear it at night. The bars across the street and the gambling places are quiet (I guess they are loud during the summer months) I’ve stayed here from September to March and have not heard anything. There are a lot of fish restaurants to eat and an Italian and the burgués bar near by. The city centrum is about 15 mins walking. A few nice shops and cafes. There are also buses and trains to Bremerhaven, Bremen and Hamburg. I have not had anything to complain about with this hotel. We choose it whenever we come, I walk a lot around the area while my husband goes to work.

This is a good place to stay the night especially if you are catching a ferry.I stayed in November and the 44 euro price could have gotten me a lot worse. The room was clean and adequately furnished except for an old commercial add in closet. The ferry is nearby only 5 min by taxi for a few euros. The neighborhood is nice but dead at night. I would not recommend it for a longer stay however. There is no staff on the premises after 8pm and I had to get a key from a box outside. I would not have known this either had I not called ahead for the ferry information.I don't know what I would have done for a medical emergency, fire or a problem in the hotel. There was no coffee pot in the room and there was none available for guests in the lobby on the day I was there. I did not want a full breakfast because the price was ridiculous at $16.50 Euros! I'v gotten dinner in Cuxhaven cheaper. I had to pay apx $3 US for one coffee with no refill in the restaurant. actually my waitress didn't even ask if I wanted another.My suggestion for the hotel, charge an extra $10 for the room, add a free breakfast and/or coffee and hire a night clerk for safety reasons.
