Reception: Staff were fantastic, and very helpful with any request. We chatted to the reception lady for over an hour, there are not many hotels that would do this with guests. Room / facilities: Situated approx 1km from the Köln Central train HBF station the hotel is an easy walk on flat ground. This location makes the hotel isolated from the busy city hustle and bustle, making it more relaxing and pleasent to stay at. Room number 209 is on the 2 floor, is clean and rear facing, making it very quiet and pleasant to be in. There are 2x Juliet style balconies with doors that open 2 ways, to allow for fresh air to enter the room. There air conditioner is able to be operated by guests. The room is a one bedroom self contained apartment with seperate bath and mini fully equipped kitchen, full sized fridge, 2x electric hotplates, dishwasher and all the cutlery and crockery 2 persons could need. There is a huge flat screen tv, iron and board, clothes hanging room, safe, seat and coffee table, work bench and chair. Whilst the bed is a Murphy bed, it is extremely comfortable and converts to a full lounge chair which, when the bed is stowed away, makes the room feel much bigger than it already is. There is a gym and laundry in the hotel. The hotel offers all day/night complementary tea, coffee & drinking water. Tasty lollies available at checkin counter. Parking: Check with the hotel. Laundry: Self service coin laundry with washers and dryers costing €10 for a wash and dry. This is located near the lobby. Wifi: Complementary and has really good speed. No validation or password required. Breakfast: Available in the lobby for additional cost of €22 per person (April 2024), but not utilised on this stay. Conclusion: Brilliant location, easy walk to many attractions, supermarkets and food outlets. Being on the edge of the city has huge noise advantages. I would revisit this Aparthotel without a second thought. Location / Nearby: Supermarkets / mall 1km, Central train station 1 km, Cathedral 800m, Lindt Chocolate factory 900m Getting to hotel: If arriving by car, best use GPS Arriving from Köln Central train HBF station, exit the station and walk toward the Köln Cathedral. To avoid the stairs, use the lift on the right, exit the lift and walk around the front of the cathedral and follow the foot mall on the right, continue in the foot mall straight, after you cross the tram tracks. At the next major corner with traffic lights, cross the street, and turn right, the hotel will be on the left in about 50m. Recommendation. If you want to avoid some street noise and street smokers, request a rear facing room.

“A Good Stay”

We booked this on the Accor app, we prefer the Adagio to stay in where we can as the rooms are spacious and they normally have a laundry, so we can cook for ourselves and as we are on a tour of Europe we can wash our clothes. We booked this on the Accor app, we prefer the Adagio to stay in where we can as the rooms are spacious and they normally have a laundry, so we can cook for ourselves and as we are on a tour of Europe we can wash our clothes. The room we had had a lounge room and separate bedroom. Both with TVs. The only downside with the TV, was they had certain channels in the list but they weren't subscribed to. We do like to watch a news channel in English where we can. One design fault in the kitchen was the alarm that is very sensitive. We cooked one night and the littlest amount of steam set it off. It made us not want to use the kitchen. Also a toaster in the kitchen would be good. We were on the first floor and due to the heat, we had to leave a window open, there is a bit of street noise especially from where people congregate at the smoking area. Ariel at check-in was excellent, we had one small issue with the bath and no plug, maintenance fixed this in ten minutes. A good stay, the hotel is about a fifteen minute walk from the station, but the walk is pretty easy.
