The last 4 stars review of this hotel was early this year so this hotel is long due for another good review. The staff were very responsive to my emails. I originally booked a standard double bedroom with a cot. After reading about the room being small on tripadvisor, I decided to pay about 10 euro extra to have a single bed for my toddler. Small room is perfectly fine as a couple but things double with a toddler. ;) To my surprise, we were put in a family room, where there is a single bed in a separate room. Plenty of space to store luggages, pram etc. It also has a small kitchen and fridge in that single bed room. The best of all is the parking spot. No other hotels in the city centre could guarantee me a parking spot upon arrival despite me willing to pay for the hefty hotel parking fee. This is rather strange to me as i thought each hotel would know how many parking spots they have reserved in a nearby parking garage! Hotel Aigner said they could give me a spot after checking the availability of the dates of stay. That pretty much set for us to stay here and their parking fee was very reasonable. While others have to park at a nearby garage, the staff was very accommodating by giving us a spot (very limited) at the back of the hotel property as they knew traveling with a toddler meant a lot of luggages etc. The breakfast area is bit small. It served traditional german breakfast. Reasonable variety. They offered free machine made coffees (a plus as some hotels charge extra for that). Very close to the centre of Bonn -- old town area. The room is typical european. Not new but adequate. No AC so might be an issue on a hot day in the summer. Floor is a bit thin as we could hear music and noise from upstair but we were lucky that people were considerate after certain time. The bathroom fan isn't working so it does smell a bit. Because we booked it through email, we didn't get free complimentary public transport ticket that is normally included with the online booking. Overall, i give it 4 stars.

“Very satisfying”

A clean warm and satisfying hotel. Comfortable beds! Very close to the centre of Bonn.Very nice breakfast with some "gourmé" german cheese and very kind and helpful people! We had a very pleasant stay. Recommend!

“Nice hotel”

The rooms are decent sized, comfortable beds and good amenities. My room had a kettle and fridge, so bringing your own black tea and milk is a home comfort available here. The breakfast is very good, broad selection of foods. Very nice staff.

“tiny rooms with sufficient comfort”

I would never imagine a room of this size to contain every basic thing, including space for clothing and bags, and--my dear--a desk! The bathroom was also exceptionally tiny but with all you expect it to have. Pleasantly enough, my Lilliput-style room has a normal-size balcony facing the interior... more

I would never imagine a room of this size to contain every basic thing, including space for clothing and bags, and--my dear--a desk! The bathroom was also exceptionally tiny but with all you expect it to have. Pleasantly enough, my Lilliput-style room has a normal-size balcony facing the interior yard: this pleasant addition made me enjoy some dinner moments on air. The biggest disappointment was breakfast: unusually basic for Germany and without bananas.

Hotel Aigner is a traditional European hotel with small rooms, single beds (unless you request a double), and good breakfast. The hotel is close to the subway/tram and one stop from the railroad station so it is convenient plus it is a few minutes walk from the central shopping area in downtown B... more

Hotel Aigner is a traditional European hotel with small rooms, single beds (unless you request a double), and good breakfast. The hotel is close to the subway/tram and one stop from the railroad station so it is convenient plus it is a few minutes walk from the central shopping area in downtown Bonn. The downside is that it doesn't have the greatest soundproofing so I had to use ear plugs two of the three nights as my upstairs and beside me neighbours were up earlier and later than I wanted to be. This hotel seems to be used by business travelers and tourists from Europe and elsewhere. I would stay again but would ask for a top floor in order to not have to listen to the upstairs room get up at 5 am.
