“Nice hotel”

Really nice hotel. Room was lovely, comfy and clean. Bar was nice and staff were friendly. We stayed for 4 nights and had everything we needed. The pool was really nice also. Nice and close to the Zoo, a short walk from the metro. Would recommend staying here

“Fantastic city break”

We booked in 19/11/24 for 3 nights for a city break room was clean and comfortable. Buses right outside door. We booked in 19/11/24 for 3 nights for a city break room was clean and comfortable. Buses right outside door. We enjoyed visiting many places using our Berlin City Card which you activate once and use on all transport. We would have a nightcap in the bar each night and served by the lovely Tiago who made the best Pina Coladas we have tasted. He was so friendly and welcoming. Would recommend the hotel to all

Lovely stay despite ants in our room when we arrived - we did also pay for a high floor and were put on the 4th floor! Bit weird that we paid a premium and seems a gimmick. We did get robes and slippers but both were poor quality. Towels overly small and not great quality either (there were plenty of them but a large luxurious towel in a 4 star hotel is a given) However, bed was super king, clean and fresh linen (although not high thread count). Room was spacious and suited us for 4 days in Berlin. Bathroom clean and had bidet although bath with shower over was a little precarious. They ran out of tea bags and we had to ask twice for more ear buds and clean towels. Small things but annoying. The pool, sauna and steam were good. Although they alternated days when they are on. So steam is cold when sauna hot. Breakfast was great - good selection of fresh and tinned fruit, yoghurts, meats, cheeses, salmon, eggs, bacon, tomatoes , mushrooms, potatoes etc. Fresh bread and a selection of pastries. The staff were great in the restaurant and dealt with a very greedy lady who literally took half the buffet (for her lunch) and was making salmon and cream cheese baguettes etc and stuffing them in her bag! I am talking feeding the 5,000 volumes of food. Super quiet location with 200 bus outside into centre and 100 bus one road over. Not near a train (about 15 min walk) but buses excellent.

This is the 2nd time I have stayed here when visiting Berlin, in December 2023 is was a great stay, couldn't fault it. Sadly I can only give this a 3 star rating this time. I stayed here with my wife and we requested a King bed and paid extra for a high floor. As the building is only 6 floors high, I don't really see what the benefit was, in the end. We were given floor 4, not exactly a high floor. We then saw we had separate beds so another thing that we paid for but didn't get. The room was very clean and bathroom in excellent condition. The cleaner done a very good job every day. Staff in the restaurant for breakfast we attentive and the selection for breakfast is very good, however, all of the hot food on all three mornings was cold. I could not understand why it was so cold. Hot food was bought out each time it was running low, which was good, but it was always cold. Location for the hotel is excellent, near the Zoo and Tiergarten, along with a reasonable walk to the train stations. Sadly, I don't think I'll be coming back this December for my annual trip to Berlin.
