I would totally recommend staying here if visiting the city. Don't bother with large chain hotels etc......this is so much better. POSITIVES Perfectly located next to tram stops and 5-10 mins walk to shops restaurants etc. Bedroom is immaculate and cleaned daily. Centrally heated for comfort at this time of year. Shower is spot on and bed comfortable. The staff are lovely 😍 and friendly and always around if needed. Breakfast is at extra cost...which we will be having on our last morning - it looks gorgeous though. There are Vegan options too! NEGATIVES- nothing much really..... Check out is 11am - quite early we thought 🤔 Only curtains at windows so have to be drawn when lights on for privacy. Could do with voile netting too??

Christmas visit to Berlin to enjoy the markets and spend time in the heart of the city between Christmas and New Year. The location of the hotel is fantastic. So very convenient to come from the airport to take the S bahn and the area offers some of the best sights and sounds of Berlin. We got a very warm welcome and one of the best accommodations in the hotel. The room was really nice and quiet - the sound of the trams didn't bother us at all. We loved the look and feel of the hotel room - a nice mix of old and new. Everything was clean and nice, the bed was comfy, the bathroom excellent and we brought our own entertainment so the lack of English options on the TV didn't bother us at all. We loved the breakfast which was well worth it - but if you like something else you won't have to go far to find excellent alternatives. This area is just full of restaurants and bakeries that open really early. Being here while the Christmas markets are open added to the lovely feel for this visit - plenty within walking distance and we tried just about everything on offer. We love to stay in this area of Berlin as it offers some of the best options for sightseeing and easy transportation all over the city.

A lovely, cosy hotel in a great location. Public transport near enough on the doorstep and Museum Island about 10 minutes walk. The surrounding area is quite nice to explore too, with plenty of shops and restaurants. I had a single comfort room, a good size, I could see the TV Tower and Berlin Dom from my window. Very comfortable bed, the German style double, with handy bedside tables on each side, a couple of little stools and a table at the foot of the bed. There was a hanging rail with hangers supplied and an area underneath that was just the right size for my suitcase to sit. There was also a safe, free of charge and the complimentary bottle of water waiting on arrival was a lovely touch. Very pleasant staff at reception. The rooms were cleaned daily and to a good standard. I did think the breakfast option was a wee bit overpriced, especially with such good cafes nearby, so I didn't bother. The bar area was very welcoming, with an open fire. I did go up to the roof terrace to enjoy the view, even if the bar up there wasn't open yet. I would definitely stay here again if I return to Berlin and would recommend to friends and family.

We stayed here as a couple last week for a few days. Overall, we found it a nice hotel, with comfortable, warm rooms, albeit a little on the small side but I'm not there to hold cocktail parties, it was a base to sleep and shower in and on both counts it served it's purpose. It had a complimentary bottle of water (not replaced every day), and complimentary toiletries in the shower, and towels were changed every day whether you requested it or not. One thing I did find strange in the room was that we had a double bed but two single duvets? I've never seen this anywhere else and it was a bit odd, especially when you wake up in the middle of the night with your foot freezing cold as it's been out from the duvet! I can't really comment on the rest of the facilities as we never used them, we used it solely as a base and for that it was perfect. You are right in the centre of most things beside Hackesher Markt (get off here if you take the number 9 S Bahn from the airport, it's almost door to door) and from there you can walk to pretty much anywhere but the trams and S Bahn are so frequent you could use these to easily go anywhere you want all day, every day. If you want a hotel with lots of extras and be served hand on foot, this ain't it. It's a quiet, leave you alone sort of hotel. If you need a nice comfy place to sleep and shower, in walking distance of transport or the rest of the city, this is a great base.
