“Not your regular tourist affair”
This hotel is far from the madding crowd (if there is one in Berlin). It's however conveniently located just outside the KonstanzerStrasse U-bahn station so getting to another location isn't a problem. This hotel is far from the madding crowd (if there is one in Berlin). It's however conveniently located just outside the KonstanzerStrasse U-bahn station so getting to another location isn't a problem. And you will want to get to another location because the options for food aren't many in this part of town. My husband and I booked for a two night stay here and when we got our room keys we realized there were twin beds instead of a double bed. We were given a different room upon request right away so that got sorted. The guy at the reception is a very courteous Englishman who was eager to help us out with anything we needed including arranging for a taxi on the way out to the airport. If you're in Berlin for work or for some quiet time this is a no nonsense option to choose.

“modest place to stay when on a budget.”
I rate the places where I stay by the quality of sleep I get, and here was the best. The room was very simple, but I don't travel to spent my days in a hotel room. it had all it needs and clean. I rate the places where I stay by the quality of sleep I get, and here was the best. The room was very simple, but I don't travel to spent my days in a hotel room. it had all it needs and clean. The staff was very friendly and the location really good. Just outside the hotel there is a metro station, which makes move around easy. It's not the most "in" part of town, but I prefer to travel to get there and return back to a relaxed area, where you can rest. Staying in the busy areas, more likely will be noisy, not here.

This hotel is not located in the center near all the attractions (be it tourist attractions or nightlife venues) however it is located right near a metro station making it still a very convenient place to stay. The hotel's staff are extremely nice and willing to help. The rooms are quite cosy and the place also offers free breakfast. The only downside to this place is the atmosphere which sends off a retirement home alvibe more than anything else. I would recommend staying here, but take unless you're under 65 be aware that this is not a social place to stay at all.

We booked a double room for a long weekend away and were thoroughly impressed with the size of the room and the well stocked bar and dining area. The breakfast was nice, the staff were amazingly helpful, and the owners speak fluent English. Fantastic transport links, and a short walk away from 24 hour shops and restaurants. My only con was that bedding was not replaced on a nightly basis, although they did tidy the rooms. Would definitely be happy to return.
