Visited in late December and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The rooms are spacious and the beds are very comfy. The free use of the safe came in very handy and the room was very clean. The only issue we had was that the water pressure in the shower was quite poor and the prices for the drinks in the vending machine are pricey, however is no complaints about anything else at the hotel. Overall enjoyed our trip, the hotel is in a good location to where we wanted to be and I would return in the future.

“Fantastic location - nice hotel.”

Lovely hotel situated close to Alexanderplatz U-Bahn station and main square where the comms tower is located. This is a main area for Christmas markets. Lovely hotel situated close to Alexanderplatz U-Bahn station and main square where the comms tower is located. This is a main area for Christmas markets. The hotel check in was very simple as is the layout of the hotel. Rooms were spacious with a desk and coffee machine / large screen TV and safe. Reception provided a room fan on request as rooms are very warm with a less than adequate temp / air con gauge (didn’t seem to work in room 503). The water pressure is somehow amazing so be aware when turning the shower on! Room service is very good and bottled water was replaced every day for coffee / drinking. Worth spending the €16 on breakfast - trust me! Talking about food, there is a great Italian Restaurant a short walk away down one of the side streets in the direction of town. Only down side to the hotel is that there is a church within stones throw distance outside and they constantly ring their bells from 8am and every 1/2 hr too! Take earplugs or keep windows shut if you can bare the heat. There is only one USB that we found and it’s in the side of the TV so no use for recharging gadgets! Staff are very polite and were heard to speak a whole host of languages including English.

Myself and my friends visited Berlin for the first time this week and stayed here for 3 nights. The hotel lobby gives a great first impression; it’s absolutely beautiful and the staff on reception were warm and welcoming. The rooms were clean, cosy and had lovely comfortable beds. We had front facing rooms and despite trams going past every few minutes, we did not hear any noise. The shower and water pressure is excellent. The wellness centre and gym is an added bonus. Great service in the bar and restaurant! The distance to the main square of Alexanderplatz is about 10 minutes and we didn’t mind the walk. Alternatively, the tram stops outside the hotel and is very easy to use. Thankyou!

“Lovely stay, not so lovely start.”

I travelled with my family recently to this hotel, the accommodation itself is absolutely stunning and the large majority of staff cannot be faulted and exceeded our expectations massively. However, upon arrival I was notified I apparently had two rooms booked, this was NOT the case - the supplier who I booked with had an issue in the background where the first room was not cancelled upon cancelling my booking. When finding this out at reception I was then notified I would need to proceed to pay for this second room, at which point I refused as it was no fault of my own. The receptionist at the time did not proceed to help me at all and despite showing evidence of the second room being cancelled continued to tell me I had a withstanding charge for that room which needed paying rather than just cancelling it down for me. I asked what I needed to do to get this rectified and was told she didn't know how she could assist and quite frankly spoke to me in an incredibly condescending manner. Not quite the start to the holiday you want. After the stress, I rang and spoke to the supplier who advised there was an issue with the booking system they use but the hotel should be able to cancel it on their end. Went back to reception and spoke to another lady (much more helpful) who said she could cancel this down for me no problem and got us sorted almost immediately - which is the most frustrating part considering this could have been done in the first place. Breakfast was okay, nothing spectacular. I wouldn't recommend paying the additional cost for this, especially if you're a later riser as the food is stale and cold by the time you eat. Other than that the rooms are incredibly modern and are made everyday by housekeeping who do go above and beyond. Despite a negative start to the holiday we didn't let it dampen our spirits. Would I stay again? Probably not, purely down to the poor customer service upon arrival :(
