“kindhearted people at Christmas time”
I have stayed here many times and it is a warm, welcoming place. But I was especially grateful for their kindness this year. I had booked a room for two weeks, as a friend of mine was in failing health. He died only four days after I arrived and the hosts were kind enough to give me a refund… more
I have stayed here many times and it is a warm, welcoming place. But I was especially grateful for their kindness this year. I had booked a room for two weeks, as a friend of mine was in failing health. He died only four days after I arrived and the hosts were kind enough to give me a refund when I felt I had to leave Berlin, a city I love but had become very sad very suddenly. I will be back and I will never forget the courtesy and human understanding of my hosts at a terrible time.

Great location for a city break especially if using the train to travel to and from the airport. Great location for a city break especially if using the train to travel to and from the airport. Great sights, bars and restaurants are within close walking distance and the public transport system is excellent! Staff at this hotel are warm and welcoming and helpful. The hotel is clean and calm. The rooms are perhaps on the small side but comfortable and as I mentioned before clean. Wasn’t bothered too much regards the size of the room as we were there to explore another city and country. I would certainly stay here again.

Location made for easy sight-seeing, especially with travel cards included. Location made for easy sight-seeing, especially with travel cards included. Could be noisy at night with a location so close to a busy station, but this was not unbearable and ease of travel made it acceptable. Breakfast included a good range of food, which suited everyone in our family group. Staff were helpful and responded well to our requests. Inter City are a reliable brand and we use them whenever we travel in Germany - not the most exciting hotel chain, but the inclusion of a local travel card for each city has meant we can make the most of our time sightseeing in a city without the hassle of having to work out travel tarrifs.

Excellent location, practically inside the station and soundproof rooms. Cleaning on request, shower with good jet, very hot rooms, flat tv with mostly boring international channels, not much tecnology, stained carpets. Wi-Fi is very slow, if not non-existent at night. Excellent location, practically inside the station and soundproof rooms. Cleaning on request, shower with good jet, very hot rooms, flat tv with mostly boring international channels, not much tecnology, stained carpets. Wi-Fi is very slow, if not non-existent at night. I had to buy extra gigabytes from Iliad to surf the Internet and I’m european! I don't understand the guy who write that the wi-fi works: but which hotel did he stay in? Average reception service, the receptionist acts like an IA, he actually talks over you and tends not to listen. Much less were we provided with information on transport or free tickets! They almost never answer the phone and zero to emails after booking.
