The Hilton Berlin is centrally located with a lot of potential, but the experience left me underwhelmed, especially for a five-star property. The room was of decent size but showed signs of aging. The toilet was particularly small, and the flush required holding down the flush button to work properly—a bit of an inconvenience. Amenities were not provided in the bathroom unless specifically requested, which felt like an odd cost-saving measure for a hotel of this category. As a Hilton Honors Gold member, I was disappointed by the lack of recognition. There was no complimentary room upgrade (perhaps the hotel was fully booked), and no welcome gift unless the extra bottle of water in the room counts. When I requested additional complimentary water, I was told only one bottle is provided—this felt extremely stingy for a property that markets itself as luxurious. That said, the breakfast buffet was a major highlight and possibly the best I’ve encountered in any Hilton property worldwide. The variety, quality, and freshness of the food were impeccable and made the mornings memorable. Overall, while the breakfast was exceptional, the service and attention to detail did not meet the expectations of a five-star property. Some improvements in guest recognition and basic amenities could make this a much better experience.

Superbly located hotel, superb facilities, superb team! Shame same can't be said about the British Council House Trash found in the Lounge. Whether it be the re arranging of all the furniture to suit themselves (never mind anyone else). or the very loud cartoon noise as Older Brat watches an ipad (dont bother to consider anyone else, not least those like us who are elderly and just want peace), or the constant crying and screaming of child brat (thanks for sharing that with us all), you've certainly made your presence felt, as you also did when the glasses went cascading across your table. And, to top it off, lets go change child brats nappy on the seat, in full view (and smell) of myself and my wife - not what we want to see / hear / smell when eating. Lets have a collection of them too, just what my wife & I wanted to see / smell. And as for Baldy Coot Dad, if he spent more time trying to be a father and less time downing the beer, then perhaps the children may have some hope. And for me and my wife, we don't feel we ask too much, we just don't want to feel like we are in an episode of Benefits Street, and or Gypsy Wedding. God bless the likes of Ryan Air and the ability for the great unwashed of Britain's council schemes & caravans to venture out and visit other cities using coupons they've collected from the Sun. Tell you what, next time do us all a favour & stay at home in your caravan watching Jeremy Kyle where your kids can scream and s**t all they want.

Disappointing Service in a Beautiful Setting I recently stayed at the Hilton Hotel Berlin and, while the property itself is lovely and well-located, the service left much to be desired. The room was spacious, with a big, comfortable bed, but the issues started almost immediately. First, there was a missing bedside lamp, which was replaced with a faulty one after reporting it. Despite two visits to reception, nothing further was done. Worse, when I decided to enjoy a late-night bath, I discovered the bath plug didn’t work. I reported these issues the next day, expecting them to be addressed while I was out for work. Unfortunately, upon my return, nothing had been resolved. After speaking with the duty manager, I was assured someone would come to sort things out, but no one ever showed up. To top it off, the housekeeping staff removed my facecloths but didn’t replace them. It feels like Hilton Berlin is more focused on appearances than genuinely caring about its guests’ experience. If you’re looking for a hotel that values your business and offers attentive service, I recommend skipping this Hilton and opting for a boutique hotel where customer care is a priority.
