“No frills hotel in a good location”

Stayed here for 4-nights, it's a no-frills hotel with a decent service. My detailed review: 1) Location: It's the main highlight for this hotel. It's very good, close to Bikini Berlin shopping center, the Zoo, and the metro station that can take you anywhere around the city. 2) Lobby/Reception: The lobby is welcoming and it has decent size and amount of seating available. Close to the lobby area there's a bar that has outdoor seating. Front-desk really understand that we were super tired as we arriving around midnight, so the check-in process was super efficient. 3) Room: The room is small and doesn't offers much view. Room amenities are basic but enough to do its job. The bathroom is also small, seems it's being designed for a slender and short person. I'm close to 1.8m and already struggling when having shower in the tub/shower combo. Also the glass does not fully cover so the water may sprayed out to the bathroom floor. Good thing that the room is quiet at night, so I have a good night sleep. 4) Kemmon's Bar: The bar is nice, have outdoor seating too. However, service can be a bit slow when it gets busy. 5) Other aspects: Did not try the breakfast as the room booking does not come with breakfast, but there's a bakery/cafe shop next to the hotel and they have decent selection. Cannot comment on housekeeping also because I prefer extra points for IHG. Overall, good hotel with good location, but you may have to pay extra if you need more space because the standard room is small.

Nice hotel, but a long walk to most places. Staff were a little standoffish, maybe because I didn't speak German and they could not speak English. Nice hotel, but a long walk to most places. Staff were a little standoffish, maybe because I didn't speak German and they could not speak English. Usually we can play mimes and get answers with a smile, but not here. Rooms were OK, not bad but not good. No walk in shower as requested and they only had 2 rooms with walk-in showers & if I wanted one it was going to cost almost double the cost. I asked for a step and they brought in a rubbish bin and turned it upside down as their answer. Luckily only there for 2 nights so we used some milk crates we found to use as steps.
