“Full of charm & character”
We wanted to try somewhere a bit different this visit rather than a chain hotel and we were delighted. The old building is very decadent with high ceilings and lots of unique features. We wanted to try somewhere a bit different this visit rather than a chain hotel and we were delighted. The old building is very decadent with high ceilings and lots of unique features. Very impressed at checkin as we were given access to our room at about 11:30am. Very reasonably priced at approx £400 for 5 nights. The room was spacious with very high ceilings yet cosy & warm. Massive windows with beautiful views into the trees and street down below. Room was spotless & freshened up daily. Very comfy bed & spotless bathroom. Various lamps dotted around for ambient light options after dark. Plenty of hanging for clothes and use of a free safe in room for valuables. We were in room 2 overlooking the street which was very quiet and we slept soundly at night & sometimes for siesta too. Only had breakfast there once as we like to eat out but options were ample & they do eggs to order. Free tea & coffee were available for all in the afternoons to help yourself in the breakfast room too. Would defo stay here again. Location is perfect being close to the gay scene and shopping area near KaDeWe. Thank you for a lovely stay! See you next year hopefully.

“I was first there 13 years ago, will stay again!”
Location, value, service were all top notch. Nice to have a property owner who actually works on-site, makes all the difference. Good breakfast kept me sated until dinner. Hotel is on the third floor, but don't worry, there is an early 20th century lift to carry you and your luggage up.

I have again found another hotel I can’t wait to return to. The staff here are so friendly, I felt at home. My room was large, had a small balcony, and was quite comfortable. Breakfast is excellent, including made to order eggs. The building itself is adorable, including an ancient, delicate and hard working elevator. The location is also excellent. Middle of a gay area, close to transit, good restaurants, and many fun bars.

“Great Centrally Located boutique hotel”
Great boutique hotel in very close to subways, cafes and restaurants. Spacious rooms with very good service. Would definitely stay there again! There are great cafes for breakfast very close by and the owners were very gracious and fulfilled our every need.

This was the first time that I had traveled to Berlin, and as a gay man, I wanted to make sure that I was staying in a gay neighborhood and a gay-operated hotel. After much research, I settled on the ArtHotel Connection Hotel. Let me be clear: I could not have chosen a more perfect spot to stay in. The hotel can be found on Fuggerstr, 33, in the heart of the oldest gay neighborhood in Berlin of Schöneberg that dates back to the 1920s. The hotel is not grand, but it was super duper clean and safe, and the staff was fantastic. I've recommended this place to my friends who will be traveling to Berlin.
