My family booked 2 apartments and we were put in two blocks next door to each other, 75 and 76. The apartments were both sparsely furnished but adequate and the rooms were huge. The bathrooms were dated - showers over baths and no in-bath mats, which caused my elderly parents some issues. The kitchen was adequately equipped but a microwave would have been useful. The kettle was broken but this was instantly replaced by the helpful reception staff. There is no air con, but the windows opened onto a quiet garden area. My only real concern was that in building 76, all the corridor lights had failed, meaning we had to use torches to go along the corridors and to the lift. This was a serious safety concern. We were told that this was a known fault and was due to be repaired, but we were there 4 days and there was no action taken and no emergency lighting was installed. It was incredibly dangerous, so if you are placed in this block on arrival, check that this has now been fixed! We stayed on the last weekend of July 2024.

Stayed for three nights in a two bedroom apartment. This is a large complex of apartments that is both residential and hotel that stretches over several blocks. In fact the site is the former chancellory that contained the Furers bunker where he died….there are a lot of tourist groups walking around the area and there is a sign on the street behind the apartment complex. The hotel has apartments spread throughout the complex so be prepared to have to walk to your building and room. This is not a problem unless you have too much luggage or people with mobility issues. There are lifts to the rooms though I think if you are on floor 7 you have to take the stairs to this floor from floor 6. We had an issue with a leaking toilet however the staff were very helpful and were able to change our room for us and in the same building, just on a different floor. We were very appreciative for this. The apartment is very large. Extra hallway spaces means you can spread your luggage out though the rooms are quite large also. Plenty of heating which is great of winter, and the windows can be opened for fresh air. There are not ceiling fans or aircon. The apartment comes with a washing machine, a clothes drying rack and a full kitchen - oven, stove top but no microwave. There is a supermarket close by (not open on a Sunday) as is the Mall of Berlin shopping centre (also not open on a Sunday). The U and S Bahns are a block away from reception and easy to access the main Berlin Train station. We used the limited stop ticket for Euro 2.40 per adult. Location is very convenient to Brandenburg gate, checkpoint Charlie, remnants of the wall. Would stay here again.
