A great hotel to visit the city of Bamberg We had a very nice room and we were greeted by a gentleman Sven Schwarzbach he was very friendly and helpful we checked in in the afternoon and we met by a gentleman Sebastian Hechler he also was very friendly and helpful for this made our stay very special the lady at the breakfast was equally friendly. The breakfast was very nice and we will definitely return to this place.

“Hotel near city center”
Was on business trip in Bamberg and slept one night here. Parking in the basement only for small cars - if you have a bigger one use the outside parking places. Was on business trip in Bamberg and slept one night here. Parking in the basement only for small cars - if you have a bigger one use the outside parking places. The breakfast and other food was as expected for a location like this but nothing special. Sleeping was good. Hotel rooms seems to be a bit old fashioned but everything was clear. The staff was friendly and helpful - as expected. The city center is reachable by food within some minutes - not far away. To sum it up it was a OK.

“Welcoming staff”
Friendly staff that are very welcoming. The only downside was the lack of hot water in the shower and the oversized pillows that lacked the basic comfort you would expect. Overall was ok value for the price

“No aircon but a good no frills place to stay”
People say that Australia is built for summer so we freeze in winter. So far it appears German hotels, at least the old ones, are built for winter so you melt in summer. It was 32 degrees. No aircon. People say that Australia is built for summer so we freeze in winter. So far it appears German hotels, at least the old ones, are built for winter so you melt in summer. It was 32 degrees. No aircon. I accept these buildings are old but the old hotel in Berlin provided a very effective pedestal fan. That aside. Friendly helpful staff. Some say it is old but clearly some renos have been judging by my very modern bathroom. But still you’re only here for a couple of nights, if things work what does it matter if the carpet is a bit worn? People say it’s next to the old town, true in a sense but there are many closer places, for which you no doubt pay appropriately. It’s basically a 10-15 min walk to the old places. I don’t mind getting some exercise when on holidays and eating and drinking too much. Overall if you’re not too fussy and its not hot a good solid choice for a place to stay
