“Perfect Choice”

We wanted to visit Passau but not stay in the city; we were looking for somewhere that had easy parking, accepted pets and had a nice atmosphere. The Hotel Sternsteinhof was the perfect choice. We didn't mind driving the extra miles into the city because the commute was pleasant; there is a lot to see along the country roads. The room was exceptionally clean and spacious. The hotel staff were very friendly and accomodating. Upon arrival we were escorted to our room to ensure that it met with our approval; this is a classy and considerate touch. The first night we parked in overflow parking which is easily found across the street. Dinner was wonderful and the service was excellent. (Rita is an outstanding waitress; we dined there on a busy Saturday night and we were not neglected.) Breakfast was plentiful and the coffee good. I was taught how to say "scrambled eggs" in German; now I know. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who is interested in a spa vacation or a quite respite to travel throughout Bavaria. I didn't use the spa/health services but there is quite a menu to choose from and the prices seemed reasonable. The hotel is pet friendly and is in a lovely location. My family and I hope to return for another wonderful stay.
