Alt Lohbrügger Hof

“All good”

A 4 Star Hotel, we stayed from Saturday to Sunday. Breakfast was great, rooms are good and quite, bathroom modern and well equipped, parking in front of the hotel, with hotel bar. By car we needed 25 min from the main station Hamburg.

We toured Hamburg all day and then returned to Hotel for a late dinner. Food and service was 5 star! Very welcoming and accommodating.

“Elegant and comfortable, but pricey for what you get”

I realise Hamburg is an expensive city, but I was slightly disappointed by the lack of facilities. At this price, I was somewhat surprised that there were no tea or coffee making facilities in the room. I realise Hamburg is an expensive city, but I was slightly disappointed by the lack of facilities. At this price, I was somewhat surprised that there were no tea or coffee making facilities in the room. The variety of breakfast foods was impressive and tasty, but not sure it was good value for money at an extra €19. The hotel is certainly cosy and comfortable, but is a long way away from downtown Hamburg and you will need to take the 234 bus (just 100 metres away) down to Bergedorf, then a couple of S-Bahn trips to get you to Hamburg central. The staff were great and I slept very well (although I did need to ask for a second pillow). The draft Landgang beer served at the cosy bar is very tasty! Just think I was expecting a little bit more bang for my buck.

Overall the hotel was a lovely place to stay. It is quiet and the staff is very gentle. Room was clean and comfortable. The hotel is located near to Hamburg. Overall the hotel was a lovely place to stay. It is quiet and the staff is very gentle. Room was clean and comfortable. The hotel is located near to Hamburg. The rail station is at 20 minutes so it is an excellent option to avoid the Hamburg. Although There are although several restaurants close by BUT the Restaurant in the hotel in excellent . The Hotel provides a complimentary breakfast of sausages, tomatoes, scrambled eggs, bread – white and brown, croissants, cheese, jam / marmalade, yogurt and fruit. A great start to the day. I only would however like to suggest that the hotel reviews its pillows because it is very difficult to find the perfect position to rest Finally I'd like to advice you to avoid the room 306 and its area because you can perfectly feel all the people walking by the other rooms. (I am not sure if it happens in the other areas) I would definitely recommend this hotel to travelers although my experience was spoiled by last noises and garbaje trucks and some other refurbishment works during my stay
