For our second home during our recent trip through Bayern und Oberösterreich we stayed at this small, family-run hotel in charming downtown Füssen. Our room was neat and clean, and well laid out. Plus, the staff was friendly and extremely helpful. They have paid parking on site, plus there’s a convenient elevator. We would be happy to highly recommend "Zum Hechten" – Altstadthotel. “Excellent hotel, a great base for exploring the local area”

Friendly hotel in the centre of Fussen. The rooms are divided between two buildings, we stayed in the annex across the courtyard. Friendly hotel in the centre of Fussen. The rooms are divided between two buildings, we stayed in the annex across the courtyard. Our room was a good size with modern fixtures and fittings and the balcony with a view of the castle was very welcome as a outdoor space. The restaurant serves typical Bavarian fare with substantial portions, however you can share a plate or request a smaller portion. The service was excellent and prompt. Fussen itself is a great base for walking, cycling and general sightseeing.

“Loved it!”

The inn was exactly as described and seen in the photos. We stayed in a triple room in the second building up one flight of stairs. The room was spacious enough for 3 adults, had a balcony & a very nice shower. Beds were comfortable. Very clean. Quiet neighborhood at night. Staff was helpful. … more

The inn was exactly as described and seen in the photos. We stayed in a triple room in the second building up one flight of stairs. The room was spacious enough for 3 adults, had a balcony & a very nice shower. Beds were comfortable. Very clean. Quiet neighborhood at night. Staff was helpful. we prepaid for parking. Breakfast was was delicious, fresh and plenty of food. The restaurant was excellent and fairly priced.

“Great location”

This is a great located hotel. The staff responded promptly to all my inquiries prior to arrival. They provided excellent directions to the parking. However, be advised our Apple Maps and google maps failed to indicate a slight right turn from Kemptener Strasse to Ritterstrabe before a left turn… more

This is a great located hotel. The staff responded promptly to all my inquiries prior to arrival. They provided excellent directions to the parking. However, be advised our Apple Maps and google maps failed to indicate a slight right turn from Kemptener Strasse to Ritterstrabe before a left turn onto Hintere Gasse. There are some flowers there and it looks like you cannot turn and we missed the turn several times. The staff are helpful and the breakfast was excellent. Room was a good size with a terrace with table and chairs. There was a small fridge but no safe. A container of water was filled each day with daily maid service. Breakfast is served each day from 07:00 to 10:30 and you will be asked what time you will partake. Checkout is 10:30. There is a a very good restaurant on site for lunch and dinner. The trout was excellent.
