My wife and I spent three quite delightful days at the resort as part of our “Wedding Anniversary” tour. I’d highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a few days of peace and quiet in a luxurious non-chain location. Here are some of the things we learnt that you may find helpful. 1. Location. We travelled to Papeete, took a day in a local hotel to recover, and then flew to Raiatea (RFP). They’ll pick you up right at the airport, by boat, and whisk you away for a brisk 20-25 ride up the west coast of Taha’a. The boat package is 25000 XPF for a couple. That’s 230 USD. 2. We arrived early at 9am so we had breakfast, and our room was ready just after 10am. 3. Our room, 9105, was an overwater bungalow with a great view of the lagoon, the nearby Coral Garden and Bora Bora in the distance. Couldn’t have asked for more. Bear in mind you are on a small island off the northwest coast of Taha’a and NOT on the mainland. 4. The room centers around a king bed that faces out the patio doors towards the view. There was a glass bench at the bottom looking down into the waters below. 5. NOTE/ Power outlets are at a premium and hard to find. Definitely bring adaptors and multi-plug extenders with USB outlets. 6. The minibar has soda, beer, a Twix bar and a packet of crisps refreshed every day. Water and ice are available at numerous guest stations. 7. The private patio has a sub deck, with a a ladder to enter the lagoon. (Mark your bungalow with a towel or coffee cup so you can find it after swimming!) 8. You can walk (or swim) through the lagoon to access the pool, Coral Grove and neighboring motus (islands). Bring water shoes. 9. NOTE/ if you have mobility issues, be aware that there’s some walking involved to get around the resort. The staff are very reluctant to give you a ride in their carts. 10. Food - breakfast is a very nice buffet with a good mix of hot and cold foods. A good start to the day. We found the best food to be at the pool bar rather than the two “fancy restaurants “ . 11. If you snorkel then visit the Coral Garden and just float on through. Plenty of fish, but also plenty of tourist trip visitors. Also explore the island, and find the double top-secret helipad! The concierge can arrange excursions to Taha’a if you want to visit the main island. 12. NOTE/ we found the staff to be very kind and friendly, but not too helpful when asking for something outside of the normal. That could also be a French/English thing with a lack of confirmation that they’d actually do something. So, we did enjoy our stay and got the days of peace and quiet we were seeking. The overwater bungalows were luxurious (more so than the Hilton Moorea, for example), although I would have loved a private plunge pool. We’d go back. We were happy with every aspect of our three night stop at Le Taha’a by Pearl Resorts The locals were friendly, inviting and helpful! They all spoke enough English to get the message across, they were patient and even tried to help me say a few words in Polynesian. The sea food was incredible- all the food and drinks were amazing. Very cool room with a/c, a comfortable bed and floor windows so we could see the fishies 🐡 🐠🐟 There were LOTS of fish! Sharks and rays too. The room had Nespresso (which I love too). The entire property - including spa were just so special. Perfection for our 25th anniversary ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

“Awesome location, too costly”

We had a great time. The location is awesome in terms of its place near the coral garden. Pool was decent. Bar service was meh. I expected more at this price point, however (the landscape, architecture and to some degree the food).
