Fantastic property grounds, staff, and bungalow rooms, with a world class swimming pool and kids club my daughter can’t get enough of. The only shortfall is the Chinese restaurant is not authentic enough but the rest of the restaurants are all pretty good (none amazing though). Also some of the staff English is not very good. I probably will try out a different hotel next time I visit Bora Bora; however, I wouldn’t be hesitate to recommend Conrad to anyone who is looking for a great memorable experience at French Polynesia!

*I’m reposting as I realized some of my review was cut off! It’s hard to describe how heavenly this resort actually is. The location is absolutely stunning, the resort itself is gorgeous, the service is impeccable. Our room was something dreams are made of! We had an overwater bungalow (upgraded to a pool bungalow!), room 101, and we absolutely loved it and think it’s the best room in the resort! We loved the location because we did not have neighbors to our left, we had a beautiful ocean view, and an amazing view of the famous mountain! Our room was huge and so very clean. We loved the Bluetooth connection, napping in the hammock, and stargazing at night. We were supposed to go to the Bora Bora Beach Club one day, but we ended up canceling because we couldn’t tear ourselves away from our room. We loved Lawrence! He was amazing and made sure that he went out of our way to make sure we had a very special stay and we did! The grounds of the hotel are very beautiful, so picturesque. All of the restaurants are beautiful, and we actually really enjoyed the food! We liked that the breakfast buffet was more like a brunch with items like vegetable fried rice, vegetable, lo mein, sesame vegetables, chicken bao buns (I forget the name). The spa was great and the boat transfers from the airport were wonderful. This trip was a lifetime in the making and was worth every penny and all the years we waited. I’m a travel agent, so I can be pretty picky and this was an absolute dream come true.

Great property, but butler service was fair. We initially were deciding on this property vs 4 Seasons (like most people). The property and rooms were fantastic. Where they were lacking was the butler service and communications on bookings. Now we don't need a butler, but this is how they conduct their business. I also spoke to others who felt the same. We ended up working with their concierge which was great, but with too many people (Butler) trying to handle stuff it just gets convoluted and mixed messages. They want us to communicate with the butler, but every time I called she never answered. I honestly think they should leave the bookings and dealings with the concierge. When the weather got a little rough we called to ask if our activity was cancelled. Every time that message somehow turned into we wanted to cancel. This happened countless times, which just gets frustrating. Notes and emails coming to us that we wanted to cancel and then we end up running around doing their job to communicate back to several people that in fact we were merely asking and of course we still wanted to go. Their gym is ok, but small. If over 4 people are inside that's a bit much. The Intercontinental in Tahiti has a much superior gym and as you can imagine their hotel doesn't compare on quality as that's a 4 star. The last feedback I would provide is that they need to make their final bill more clear to read. Between me and 2 others checking out everyone was asking about various charges as their description are clear for them, but not their customers. Overall beautiful property and rooms, but just need a little adjusting on the way in which they conduct their business. Especially since they appear to strive for excellent.

The resort and rooms were LOVELY. We stayed in Room 407, which was a Villa with a private deck and pool. Beautiful view. Serene. Decor on point, so clean and nice. The staff was very welcoming and kind all around. Where lies the opportunities is the food. It was MEDIOCRE. Surprisingly poor. For that price and at the stunning resort- it was odd! For the first time in my entire life, I sent an entree back. We were dining at Temure Beach Club for dunner and the swordfish was so small and so dry and chewy I couldn't bear to eat it. The room service food was poor. The sushi restaurant was barely ok. We were so sick of the food the last night, we ate snacks we had packed from home. We had our two children with us and the kids meals were equally as poor. For those prices, they need to improve the quality of the food ASAP. The staff also didn't seem like trained servers or bartenders either. The cocktails were sub par. We even met a couple who left mid honeymoon because of the food quality. Conrad please remedy this, it is so disappointing, especially for the high prices.
