My friend and I stayed at Hotel Le Chalet Fleuri as part of a UTracks walk in Provence. The owners could not have been more welcoming and helpful going out of their way to book restaurants for us. The rooms were very comfortable and the shower a delight. The standout was the breakfast each morning in the beautiful garden and a rewarding drink in the evening. The hotel is a short walk to the town and is very quiet for sleeping.

This hotel is set in a beautiful and peaceful small park with gates. The house is like a small country chalet with a vintage touch. The owners are on the premises and seemed very cordial especially the male owner. There is a small pool in front but it seems like it is in the shade almost the whole day. It seems like it is not so suitable for swimming or tanning and more just for reading or drinking coffee next to it. The parking is also available and the main gates are closed at night. The hotel is located next to the road but it is not very easy to enter the parking. Coming from outside of the town, you cannot enter directly. The center is within walking distance but not so close if you need to go uphill in heels.

Unfortunately, the owners have a strict policy of not eating on the property unless you either buy the food from them or buy a drink from them to eat with your food. There are signs in the rooms that show no drinking or eating in the rooms (coffee and tea are not provided in the rooms either), and when we tried to eat a late lunch in the garden, the owners refused to give us cushions to sit on for the outdoor furniture and told us we couldn't eat our food unless we bought drinks. So we took our sandwiches to Glanum, the ancient roman site, where there are many picnic tables and ate our lunch there. I've travelled all over the world and stayed in 100s of hotels and never experienced this kind of treatment anywhere, no matter how expensive or how cheap the hotel. This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel and it will be my last because of this rule regarding food and drinks and the degradation of the quality of the hotel. Some other items that were problematic: the toilet in our room leaked (we only discovered that it was the toilet and not the shower on our last morning as we actually didn't take a shower that morning), there were cobwebs in the ceiling of the room and it was very cold. The heating appears not to have been turned on yet. In essence, I felt as though the owners are penny-pinching and monetising everything about the stay. It is not how to make a guest feel welcome. One other thing to note is that you have to sign into the wifi every time you turn on your devices. It's very annoying if you have multiple devices - and even if you don't turn them off, your login information expires within 3 hours. This might seem like a lot unless you have to do some work... Also, Monsieur is about as surly as one can get - he could barely bring himself to acknowledge our presence, let alone smile or say hello. It's quite bizarre. The breakfast was very good. Madame goes out of her way to try to please the guests. The owners provide mini croissants and other pastries as well as bread, cheeses, meats, fruit and homemade spreads. The rooms are quite quiet, although the hotel is close to a busy street, the owners have put in double-pane windows, which keeps noise to a minimum. However, despite the lack of street noise, one can hear people in the room next door using the toilet, coughing and snoring. The hotel itself can be very noisy with guests just living. The rooms are are very dark due to the shutters, which allows one to sleep in.
