We had very enjoyable stay at this hotel, which is situated in a convenient, central location (10-12 minute flat walk from Avignon Centre train station). A warm welcome greeted us on arrival and we found all the staff we met very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable, as was the bed. A kettle, tea and coffee were available in the room and a good breakfast was provided. The shower was over the bath and water pressure was average but OK; none of this was an issue for us. We requested and were given a room not facing the main square; this was a quiet location. We would certainly use this hotel again if returning to Avignon.

Really enjoyable 6 night stay in the centrally located hotel. The reception fully staffed and they were most helpful. The breakfast was sumptuous with a wide continental choice and a good range of cooked food as well, abundant strong coffee to get you going for the day! Our ensuite bedroom, on the fourth floor was well equipped and comfortable. Despite the central location the modern double glazed windows eliminated any noise from the nearby restaurants. Whilst there is no bar or restaurant, there are a selection of well furnished public rooms, to read or meet up in. I would say that L'Horloge is not suitable to anyone with limited mobility, there is just a small lift which is busy at peak times, we mainly used the stairs.

Warmly welcomed on arrival by bike on a really hot day. Great location as the square is close to main attractions and has lots of restaurants. Room a little cramped but it's an older building right in centre of city. Comfortable beds and reasonably well appointed with good aircon. Decent nights sleep as room was dark and quiet. Good breakfast. Just lacked a little character as there are no common areas or longe bar. Would stay again.

Located on the Plaza de l’Horloge, close to all the main attractions in Avignon. We could walk to both the Papal Palace and the historic bridge with ease. It was close to major shops and the tourist shopping. The restaurants were very close with many to choose from. The hotel is over a number of buildings which makes navigating it interesting. If you do not like stairs and cannot carry your luggage up and down stairs this is not the place for you. The room was spacious, clean and well appointed. The bed was comfortable with good quality linen and towels. There was room for your luggage and plenty of cupboard space if needed as well as a safe. Breakfast was basic, although there was eggs and bacon. Reception was uninterested with barely acknowledging guests. We were given a map after requesting directions only to realise it was in French. We had to find an English version at the tourist centre. There were no porters or assistance with bags. Bags were left in the foyer and not secured.
