“OK”
I was expecting a slightly better hotel than this. When I went, they were renovating the 4th and 5th floors and they covered the lift in cardboard. In addition, breakfast was not included which was not great. Despite this, the rooms were very comfortable with two TVs.

“A lot should be improved and changed!”

Despite quite low satisfaction level of feedbacks from guests, I still decided to book this hotel since the location was quite convenient and the images of the room looked quite good. I booked this place for 21 nights which is quite a lot, via one platform (won't name it not to make ads) the images have shown quite newly renovated and modern rooms. Upon my arrival, reception girl who was quite ignorant as if she does a favour to me, barely explained to me smth, gave me key from room 107 on the 1st floor, and when I entered the room, I was shocked! This was totally another room than one I might have booked: Super small (I couldn't even open properly my suitcase), super ugly, sticked, a lot were broken (I attached few images only). Safe didn't work and when I called to reception to send someone to fix it, another selfish young guy told me that I have to wait 1-2 hours because technician is busy with other stuff!! I was so frustrating about everything and Knowing that I have to stay in this ugly, broken room for 21 nights, I decided to come down few hours later to manage either to get finally a room which was promised or to push to get money back and leave this place! But I was happy that there was at least one fluently speaking English employee called Phillipe (he quitted his job few weeks later) whom I kindly explained my deep concern regarding terrible room which was given to me as a wrong one (perhaps hotel tried to cheat foreigners because to French people I noticed different attitude, and so they gave me a wrong room) and he could manage everything the best and quick way possible. I got the room which I really booked and paid for. Another point negative - behaviour of most of staff are so ignorant and unhelpful. Plus woman, Thai who perhaps managing cleaning and housekeeping, at the very begging was very rude and arrogant when I asked to bring me some more or less clean and new facilities for kitchen when I still spent few hours in the room 107 (the stuff on the kitchen was super dirty, super old). Later on, she even raised her voice with me when I asked to leave my room and come to clean later. Another point which I also found ridiculous - to hear that the longer you stay, you should buy yourself garbage bags, etc. which is totally absurd. Since I stayed 21 night, it's logic I had to have cleaning day. They cleaned only once ok, second time they didn't even clean the floor and when I noticed hours later when came back, and noticed to reception, they promised me that someone will come next def to clean the floor. But to my surprise or maybe I shouldn't even been surprised any longer, knowing the quality of service, no one came also next days. When I mentioned it to reception on the morning while housekeeper was there, they didn't even react while having more than enough time for idle talks constantly). It's very pity that in fact the place is quite good, location is good but the staff is really super unprofessional, ignorant. I wrote my note to CEO of Odalys group Laurent D. to inform his that this is a shame to have such a service and level of employees if they care about reputation. I guess it's task of Director as well.

I stayed for two weeks in June 2024. First the Positive: this hotel is in a great location for someone staying for a week or longer, with convenient access to shopping, cafes, restaurants, and the old city centre. My suite was spacious, with a clean comfortable bed and bedding. The kitchen was well-equipped, including fridge, dishwasher, microwave, dishes, and utensils. The front desk staff were generally friendly and helpful. The Negatives: The rooms are not nearly clean enough and need better maintenance. The basic, easy cleaning is adequate, but the corners, baseboards, and transition strips were disgustingly filthy! Especially in the WC, bathroom, hallway, entrance, and kitchen. Clearly the housekeeping staff are not adequately trained, equipped, or managed to keep a decently clean hotel. Anyone staying more than a few days should plan to buy some simple cleaning supplies across the street, and to spend a little time scrubbing the worst of it, because the housekeeping staff will not. The Optimistic: Renovations are well under way and nearing completion on the 4th and 5th floors. The rest should be done by next spring. If the lobby renovation is indicative, then the result should be a significant improvement throughout the hotel. The Cautionary: Regardless of the renovation, the hotel management must improved its policies and practices with respect to housekeeping and maintenance. The new renovations will need care and attention to maintain attractive rooms and facilities, to a much higher standard than the current practices.
