We stayed at Hotel des Augustins for 1 night. First, the hotel lobby is beautiful! Second, the location is perfect for visiting Aix-en-Provence. It is located in the historical center and steps away from the main sites. Third, our room was so comfortable, from the roomy bedroom and bathroom. We would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend this hotel without hesitation.

“Great location, value, and staff”

We only stayed for one night, but I'd stay here again in a heartbeat. The staff was so very helpful. There was issues with international phone service, and I needed to print out tickets for our train the next day, because I wasn't getting phone service. The staff was so helpful, and printed the tickets no problem. Also when we checked in early, they clearly could see we were hot, and tired, and immediately offered us ice cold bottles of water, held our bags, and tried to get our room ready early so we could check in before we were leaving on an afternoon trip to the lavender fields. The room was lovely, one large window that looked out onto a street but there was no noise issues at all. And most lovely, was that on this very hot day, the AC was working like a charm. (We had actually stayed the previous night at a 4 star hotel in town as part of a group and had had a terrible experience, so we were thrilled to find such a charming, friendly hotel at such a better price!) Hotel staff arranged for an early taxi to train station for us, and we left before breakfast, so I can not comment on the quality of that, however, even though we were not paying for breakfast they offered us a cup of coffee as we waited for the taxi.

“Love that monastery vibe!”

We really liked the location of this hotel, just off the Cours Mirabeau and its magical fountains. Our room was functional, with good bed, excellent shower. We really liked the location of this hotel, just off the Cours Mirabeau and its magical fountains. Our room was functional, with good bed, excellent shower. Surprisingly, no tea or coffee-making stuff in the room - we would have had to select a higher-rate room. A little sad, in my view. Also, the breakfast was not included, and quite pricey for what was on offer. We opted to go out at the many surrounding cafés. But the service was excellent.

I'm writing as a Thank You to the Hotel for their kind consideration in allowing us to Cancel a reservation we had made on line, not with a booking service, in two days advance of when we were due to arrive. We decided to check out the property prior to arrival. The Hotel is on a narrow, crowded street with parking minutes away. On the way we followed Google maps and ended up in a nightmarish situation driving on a one way pedestrian only street blocking several cars going the right way. After several attempts to find the Hotel we parked several blocks away and walked. As we are both 55+ it would have been Impossible for us to transfer our luggage and have a peaceful 3 days there on this street full of cafes and noise. The Reception was extremely gracious and we so appreciated 👏 her consideration with a no charge cancellation. This would merit a good recommendation for younger guests who were intrepid and strong! Thanks again!
