We booked this a couple of days before arriving as we were making our way through Provence on a 10 day break. We booked 2 nights here. We arrived early and left our bags with reception which was no problem. We had a one bedroom apartment which was ideal, very clean and modern. The bedroom was small which was fine as we knew the room dimensions when we booked and the bed was comfortable. Bathroom was great, spacious, stylish and a lovely shower (no bath). My wife likes a bath, but there was no problem not having one. The living area with kitchen was spacious for two people. There was a microwave/grill, large fridge, dishwasher and the usual cooking utensils. My only very minor and negative comment is that it would have been good if a small 'welcome kit' of some sort had been provided for the kitchen to include salt, pepper, cooking oil, butter satchets. Nothing major, just very small items that are there in the cupboard on arrival as we didn't see these for sale downstairs, but at the same time we didn't ask. If shower gel, shampoo etc are provided for the bathroom (which they were), a small 'kitchen essentials' just enough to use for one meal would be ideal. Great location, about 6-10 minute walk into the central area, with plenty of restaurants to choose from. The staff at the desk were very friendly and helpful. I recommend this place very highly if you are looking for a one bedroom apartment in a great location to explore central Aix-en-Provence

“A lovely home base in Aix”
This was my first time in an "aparthotel" and I like the concept: You get an actual apartment, with a lot of space and a functioning kitchen, but you also get a helpfully staffed front desk, a lobby with a work station, TV and piano, a breakfast room (if you decide to spring for breakfast) and a la… more
This was my first time in an "aparthotel" and I like the concept: You get an actual apartment, with a lot of space and a functioning kitchen, but you also get a helpfully staffed front desk, a lobby with a work station, TV and piano, a breakfast room (if you decide to spring for breakfast) and a laundry room if you need it. There's a nice courtyard in the back, too, although it was a little too hot in Aix for me to make use of it. The location is perfect -- a short walk to the markets, restaurants, train and bus stations and venues used by the Aix-en-Provence Festival (which is why I was there). The staff were always helpful and ready to offer advice and suggestions. For people traveling with friends and family, the Adagio is a great choice, and you don't have to feel guilty (as I would in an Airbnb) that you're reducing the housing stock of the town you're visiting.

A wonderful spacious studio, generous bathroom, good sized kitchenette with fridge and a balcony. The staff were only too obliging to provide me with a fan as the air conditioning was not up and running due to recent renovations. The hotel is also close to all amenities and a short stroll to the centre of Aix. Thank you and should I ever visit again, I will book the Adagio again.

Positives: good position - quiet, but only a few minutes walk to the historic centre; it offers parking and has air-conditioning. The Adagio isn’t a real hotel - the rooms are suites and there isn’t a daily room service. Our suite was ok in most respects - there was a small sitting room, a terrace and even a kitchen area. The bathroom was fine. But the architects obviously decided to save room by making the bedrooms absurdly small. Ours was barely larger than the double bed, and it was virtually impossible to reach one side of the bed. Many visitors to Aix would probably prefer a decent sized bedroom with bathroom to this place’s suite offerings - and not to have to ask for fresh towels and a new loo roll at reception..

“Good hotel👏”
The apartments are ok. The staff is helpful and polite, there where no problems with asking for extra towels or checkin. We had some complementary pancakes and there was free lemonade at the reception + a super cool ecological water dispenser!
