Hôtel Le Vert Galant

“Go green in Paris suburb”

If you Don't need to be in Paris dowtown or want to visit Villepinte Expo, Vert Galant is a good choice. Price, location, close to the RER B, markets..all you need for a short stay. It was my third stay in this hotel.

“Ok hotel.”

Good for it's value. Great location. Restaurant, Supermarket and Metro are only 1 minute walk away. Rooms are decent, but outdated. The entrance only looked like a dump, but the rooms were clean. Breakfast was very bad, so advice to stop by the bakery around the corner.

“Overall pretty good value for your money”

Overall I enjoyed my stay, the staff was helpful and the room was a good size and had the necessities. The only point that was less was the mould in the corners of the walls/ceiling. The location of the hotel was within 5 minutes walk to the train station (RER B) which was very convenient and breakfast was quite generous for its price. Overall pretty good value for money.

It all depends on what you are looking for. It’s Paris. You are not gonna find a hotel for cheap. Villepinte is a typical French, North African dominant populated city. You are not gonna find fancy local French specialties. That said, business people try to find convenience, proximity. When we get lucky we find nice a comfortable. It’s a plus. Now, this hotel is close to the Expo Fair, close to the aiport. When I say close, I mean 15 minutes in Paris traffic close. I do agree, it needs a lot of upgrades. New paint, change the old TV cables, change the beds and pillows, and you have a decent hotel. I am no one to judge on how anyone should run their business however for me, I was grateful to have a room close to the airport, and close to the expo Parc. Walk a little a you can find local restaurants 800 meters in the next town on the other side of the train station. Don’t forget you are not going to be on the “champs elysees”. If you are looking practical, this is your hotel. If you are looking for what TV sells you, go in the center and spend the Paris rate in a 4 or 5 stars. Breakfast. I am picky about what I eat. I chose to go to the bakery literally next door. (Fresh baked croissant and pain au chocolat for less than 2 euros. Then have a coffee at the bar restaurant in front of the train station (2 euros 10) Random: There is a small vending machine in the reception. For 1 water bottle 50cl, 2 euros. Staff was really nice and welcoming If I need to come back for business, I would. If I choose to bring my significant other, I’ll prepare my checkbook and I’ll go downtown.

“Stay at Vert Galant”

The hotel needs a lot of renovation as the rooms are very much outdated. The only advantages are the hotel is close to Train station and shops. Sometimes the roads outside the hotel are very noisy even in the night.
