We have just returned from a fabulous holiday in La Plagne Soleil starting at Sun Valley. The apartment was a good size for our family of four. It was clean, warm, comfortable and quiet. The kitchen had all the equipment needed although there was no oven. This wasn’t a problem for us as we used the hob for bolognaise which was perfectly fine. A few top tips: 1. Next door is Vancouver - it’s the same chain so if the reception is closed we popped next door who were very helpful and friendly too just like the team at Sun Valley. 2. You can ski out and back from the basement where the ski lockers are. This is a blue run that will take you to La Plagne Centre. To ski back you need to take the La Bergerie lift then ski down towards La Plagne Soleil just before the nursery slope there is a button lift that takes you to the top of the blue you can ski back to the hotel. 3. If you are going at a busy time it’s worth booking restaurants to save disappointment. We ate at Chairlift which was lovely and a short walk away. 4. Ski lockers are a bit damp and smelly. I think if there were more air holes in the doors that would help. Perfectly fine for skis and boots just take helmets back to the room. 5. WiFi worked well and the tv had Amazon, Netflix etc. 6. As per standard in an apartment you are expected to clean before you leave - emptying the bins etc. The swimming pool and Jacuzzi looked ok - my wife and daughter used it one day and it was fine. We were too busy skiing to be honest. All in all a great holiday. The only reason this wasn’t excellent is that the room was a bit tired. Thank you Sun Valley. All in all a great stay.

Generally, this was a good stay. Generally, this was a good stay. The rooms are basic but worked fine - we had 6 people staying in an 8 bedroom apartment, I think 8 would struggle with storage etc. beds were comfy, accommodation warm, kitchen well enough stocked to cook a basic meal, and location excellent. Enough hot water at the end of a day for a large bath and 3 showers. 5min walk from la Plagne soleil shops, and backs out on to du dous praz blue slope which is a blue with steep banks. Locker room unheated, but we just kept skis and poles and helmets in there - there wouldn't have been enough space for 6 pairs of boots too. Broken light bulbs and a leaky sink were fixed within 24hrs of reporting, although reception wasn't always open when they said they would be. WiFi worked, just a different code to what they'd printed in the welcome book.... All in all, we had a different experience to some of the more negative reviews and a good week.

“12 person chalet with 3 soft seats!”

Great car park and swimming pool/hot tub/sauna area and on piste.....however our 12 person self catering chalet has 3 places to sit comfortably in the evening. Great car park and swimming pool/hot tub/sauna area and on piste.....however our 12 person self catering chalet has 3 places to sit comfortably in the evening. I say comfortably but what i mean is one rock hard pew/wooden bench with pads. Apparently we are the only ones to notice the lack of seating all season and reception really weren't sure whether there should be another sofa or not! Thank goodness there only 7 of us. At least reception were able to supply us with extra mugs to drink from when we pointed out there were only 4 for our 12 person apartment. Please be aware there are no boot warmers in the flooded dirty ski lockers so there is no choice but to don ski boots in the chalet and walk through the accomodation. Only 2 toilets and a lot of wasted space. Writing this as we wish we had known.
