“Noise pollution at all times from outside”

Access to the resort. Following a lot of snow fall the previous week, getting there was a nightmare with coaches blocking and slowing everything. Worse, a supposedly "guide" gave us the wrong direction for our hotel when arriving at the resort. Result: After already 2 hours in traffic jams, 3 more … more

The residence: What's good: Right in the town center, 100 meters away from the ski slopes. Great view from balcony. Good lift. What's not so good: Very loud noise from the pub underneath until 2am: "Le Lutin Vert"...Late afternoon, loud noise from the ice ring's speakers when the young chap in charge decides. Loud noise from trucks moving snow as early as 7am.... Too many drunk people at night and not enough police. In the morning, cigarette butts, empty bottles of beer, vomit & all over. Flat not very clean, bathroom sink dirty, found strings and toys from previous customers. Internet: Paid a week upfront but couldn't use it half of the time. Once, the housekeeper unplugged the main router in the morning and nobody was able to plug it back all day. Food: very expensive in the shops. Tried the traiteur next to the ice ring, the "tartiflette" was awful, full of potatoes and almost no reblochon or lardons in it. There is "one" good restaurant, it's near the "Tobacco shop", find it, book it. Ski: Good but a high proportion of the slopes are tiny & boring corridors. This resort has everything to become a good one. Shame that it has the wrong people in charge..
