The staff at the Mercure are delightful. Special thanks to Vanya on reception, who was utterly gorgeous and made us feel so welcome, and nothing was too much trouble. The waitressing staff were also friendly and helpful. Thank you to the very kind lady who helped to get my car started after a flat battery when we left. The location was fantastic, ski in and out was easy.

Great location for skiing and friendly and helpful staff. Lift just outside runs until 710 pm to access Courchevel 1850 and its about a 20 minute walk back uphill to the hotel from the town after that. Hotel restaurant is OK but not great (we only tried one night) Savoyard dining is slightly biza… more

Great location for skiing and friendly and helpful staff. Lift just outside runs until 710 pm to access Courchevel 1850 and its about a 20 minute walk back uphill to the hotel from the town after that. Hotel restaurant is OK but not great (we only tried one night) Savoyard dining is slightly bizarrely in the basement (tried this the last night) and the main dining room is rather large and lacking character. Bar is nice and cosy. Ski room is fine, but cramped and no boot warmers... You can hire them for 10 euro a day... Just brought boots to room. Ski hire fantastic just down the road at New solarium. Rooms spacious and comfortable bathrooms getting a bit dated but clean. Nice view of forest and slopes. Overall a pretty good place to stay.

We changed hotels for the first time after many years coming to Courchevel 1850. We noticed that Mercure was really very well located. We changed hotels for the first time after many years coming to Courchevel 1850. We noticed that Mercure was really very well located. You can ski in practically to the ski room if there's sufficient snow, and you have to walk out 50 mts to the piste. The ski room is basic....basic. You do not have heating for the boots, and you are lucky if they fit in the space provided (very narrow and small). There are only 2 benches for ALL the rooms in the hotel, and they can get very crowded around 8.30 to 9.30 in the morning. The elevators get really crowded at that time or peak hours too (better to take the stairs). A real drawback, was the fact that the heated pool was not available, so they offered to take to by car to anther facilty, and that was really uncomfortable. Breakfast is short from good. We were unlucky to get there before France Holidays so they were short of options (only eggs with cheese were offered and they took sooooo long to be made, that it was better to choose another option). The juice just pressed was great on the other side (it would have been great to have someone cleaning from time to time). I can't even describe the fact that there is a shower in the bathroom but it has NO glass or curtain, so each time you wanted to take a bath, you end up with flooded floor and bathroom sink.....absurd. The restaurant menu and quality of food and night was just OK. Had dinner there the 2 first nights but would return....actually we prefered pizza at the bar after that. The service on the other hand at the reception was VERY good! Everybody was kind and attentive. The shuttle service to the village works only until 8 PM. After that you have to call the driver yourself, and pay €20 per trip. The rooms are a plus. Really considerable size of room (if you are 2 people) and the view is lovely. Although you do not have connecting rooms, you can sleep 2 adults + 2 children in the same room. The value is OK if you get a good deal, but you need to know all these things before deciding probably just if they are something important for you or your family.
