“Excellent value for money for room so close to Disneyland”

Great hotel right next to Val d'Europe station. We got into Paris in the evening and didn't want to waste money staying at an expensive Disney hotel that night so we stayed here overnight. Excellent value for money, clean and spacious it would be a great base for the parks if you are on a budget as it's only one Metro stop from the Disneyland station. Our room had a huge bed as well as a sofa bed in the lounge and a kitchen area so would be perfect if travelling with young children. Lots of bakeries and restaurants nearby - we grabbed a pastry for breakfast and travelled on to our Disney hotel so we were in the park soon after opening. Will definitely stay here again.

This is our second stay here this time with our newest addition 8 month old baby. I was happy with the cot we were able to request for free, it was a “real cot” and not the foldable material style. It was ready for us arriving and had a sheet already on and a spare too. The hotel is suitable for the buggy as it has a lift. The 2 bedroom apartment has a double room, a box room with bunk beds (my tall 11 and 14yr old managed but I think that would be difficult in another year) to fit in the beds but they said they were really comfy. The double bed was comfy and enough storage for a short trip. We kept the cot in the living room and there was also a sofa bed in there too. It’s nice being able to close the door to the living room and the side door to the hallway, so if the baby was asleep we used the other door to exit the bedroom. We only used the kitchen for the kettle to make baby milk and store our juice etc in the fridge. We used the mircrowave to sterilise the bottles. On arrival in the room you get a bottle of water each , a small sachet of washing up liquid, a dishwasher tablet, a sponge for washing dishes, some tea and coffee sachets and only a few little milks. I bought two coffees from the breakfast area but it was a little cup , however it did until we went out and bought some larger coffees. The cleanliness of the hotel is really high, every day the housekeeping gave us towels, sometimes not enough so we had to ask for more. The bathroom was good, bath with shower over and separate shower cubicle and separate toilet room. So you could shower two people at once. We bathed the baby in the bath too so this was handy. You get little soap bars included too and a shower gel dispenser in the shower. The laundry room in the lower ground area was available and toilets and baby change down there very clean (for when you have already checked out of room or waiting to check in) they have a few seats outside the laundry room with a charger point available too. And a vending machine too . The hotel stored our bags free of charge as we checked out our flight was not until 11pm that night. The only complaint was in the last morning (our only morning to not be up early for Disney parks) we were woken up at 9 bysomeone ringing the bell several times he looked like a porter or maintenance man, we had been given a check out time of 12 noon as a late check out from reception and at 10.30am two men came back and this time let themselves into the apartment without knocking, this wasn’t good as I have a daughter and myself who were at this point showering and getting dressed to pack up and leave. For this reason it didn’t get 5 stars this time. The receptionist on the desk a lady with blonde hair was very helpful she put a birthday present for my friend who was also staying here aside for me and was very polite and friendly . The location of this is amazing, train station to Disney opposite 30 second walk and one stop, train station to return from Disney only a 5 min walk away. 5 mins to the massive shopping mall where you can use the big supermarket Auchan to get juice and breakfast items to store in your room. We took packed lunches to Disney too. They have a small freezer drawer in the room for ice lollies too. We will definitely return to this hotel when we come back to Disneyland Paris as I feel the cleanliness,service,location and value is very good. Stayed at this hotel as a family of 6. I will go with pros to begin with: - Location is excellent. When you walk out of the reception area, Val D’Europe train station is a mere steps away. So close. To travel to Disneyland (which is predominantly the reason for our stay) is less than 5 minutes on the train to Marne La Valley. This station comes out at the entrance of Disneyland Parks. - Apartment is a manageable size for us. It has two shower rooms and a small room with the toilet. One toilet for the entire apartment. There is a double bedroom and a box room with bunk beds. The living room houses a small a kitchenette and a double sofa bed. - Apartment was clean. - Reception staff upon arrival were welcoming and friendly. They allowed us access to our apartment as soon as it was ready, rather than having to wait until the official check in time. This isn’t guaranteed, but they tried to be accommodating and they store luggage for you in the meantime. - The hotel accommodated our request to be close to the apartment of other family we travelled with. - Kitchenette has a 4 ring electric hob, a microwave, fridge and sink. - Close to the large shopping centre at Val D’Europe. It’s a very, very busy shopping centre. However, it houses 2 supermarkets and a McDonald’s amongst lots of clothing shops. Cons: - The apartment needs some TLC. - Air Conditioning was broken when we arrived. Our first night was like sleeping in a sauna. We reported to reception during the night as the heat was unbearable, but they didn’t have so much as a fan to offer, until their maintenance staff started work in the morning. Maintenance came and “fixed” the A/C. Unfortunately, it turned out that is an entirely ineffective A/C unit (not the maintenance staff’s fault) so we have had to bake the entire 7 nights. The unit desperately needs to be replaced. If coming in the summer, prepare to be sweated out of your accommodation. - One shower leaks all over the floor. - Shower head in other shower is faulty. - Light in bedroom broken. -Light in living room broken. - Kitchenette very basic. No oven. -No toaster. - Iron broken. - Safe broken. -Some remained unfixed despite us reporting them. - Pizza from bar was rank rotten. €12 minimum for a pizza. They were gross and one even had hair on it. - Room TV’s have no English speaking channels. Of course, I understand we are in France, but surely the hotel could add a couple of stations for international travellers? I have travelled abroad on countless occasions and never experienced such a poor selection. It would have been helpful for occupying kids etc in the evenings or mornings. -Asked for advice to get to Parc Asterix. Unfriendly reception staff told us to “go into Paris and work it out from there”. So that was useless. - Some reception staff unfriendly and unapproachable. Despite the extensive list of issues, we probably would stay here again as it is one of the few places that can accommodate our large family, it’s location is excellent and it isn’t overly expensive. If you intend to stay here, just be prepared for the fact that it most certainly isn’t a 4* experience, and it is unlikely that everything in your accommodation will be in working order!

The apartment was okay but not 4 star. There was a lot of wear and tear and rooms could do with a good refurbishment. There were issues like doors which were stuck and wouldn't open, extractor fans that didn't work so the toilet smelt all the time. Small bathroom but good storage. Very little space in the bedroom so hard to walk around the bed, tables were marked and one of the bedside lights didn't work, TV in bedroom also wouldnt work. Good wardrobe space and had a safe. The kitchen very basic but had what we needed. Walking into Reception was lovely and clean, bright and well done but rooms are worn. The lounge had a pull out sofa bed and TV, table and chairs. The room had what we needed. Kitchen had a small dishwasher, plates, mugs, glasses, crockery and cutlery. Kettle and coffee machine, microwave and fridge (no bottle opener). You got a small dishwasher tablet and spongue, so we popped to the local supermarket for washing up liquid and food supplies and bottled water. Clean towels and bins emptied each day. Nice stay here and staff were friendly and welcoming. Ideal if going to Disneyland as its right by the railway line and only 1 stop to Disneyland. There is a kids play park nearby, shopping mall and restaurants only a short walk. I wouldn't opt to stay here again though due to the issues in our room and its pretty worn.
