This is truly a unique property and could easily be the setting for a horror movie. That is not said in a bad way. The place is dark, elaborate and rather Victorian in its style. It is a great location if you want to stay on that side of the Seine. I would have rated it slightly higher but for the fact that the only room we could get was the smallest room as our stay was during fashion week. The room was tiny and even difficult to move around in. We were not particularly impressed with the vintage plumbing and the fact that we had to unplug a light to have an outlet available to charge electronics. It is billed as a 5 star hotel. We stayed in an actual 5 star during the first part of our stay in Paris and this hotel was not close.
