We arrived early in CDG airport at 5:50 in the morning. There are service interruptions of RER B line due to electric cable issue. We arrived at the hotel at almost 10:00 am to leave the luggage at the reception, so as to start our Paris tour immediately. Sonia the reception desk manager is very cheerful and helpful. She makes recommendations about restaurants and others. We booked online and pre-paid for five-night stay in a 3-person room. It consists of a bedroom and a living room in which there is a sofa-bed. The room service staff is very efficient and helpful as well. The hotel is very well located. It is near the Louvre. I felt real luxury to see the Louvre every-day. It takes just one minute to walk from the hotel to the nearest metro station (Louvre de Rivoli). There are plenty of restaurant along Rue Honore which is just 100 meters away from the hotel. We are able to find restaurants which still open at 9:20 pm. We have full schedule from 7:30 AM to 9:30 PM sunset every-day, so staying in a hotel within one-minute walk from hotel allows us to have a full productive travel day!

“Memorable first Paris trip for 10 and 12 year old children”

We had an awesome time staying at L'Empire. The staff, from the front desk to the cleaners are all very nice and attentive. The location of the hotel is superb, almost everything is in walking distance, especially the Louvre, multiple train station options to further locations and great food ... more

We had an awesome time staying at L'Empire. The staff, from the front desk to the cleaners are all very nice and attentive. The location of the hotel is superb, almost everything is in walking distance, especially the Louvre, multiple train station options to further locations and great food and shopping options aplenty. Our 10 and 12 year old children happily walked everywhere (more than 20K steps on an average day compared to their less than 5K back at home. We're looking forward to staying at L'Empire again!

“Great Location and Service, but ...”

We recently spent four nights at the L’Empire Hotel in Paris. We chose this hotel due to its location. It was a 15- or 20-minute walk to the Louvre Museum and a 10-minute walk to the Paris Metro and RER train stations. The staff at the hotel provided great service. With one exception, the staff at the front desk, breakfast area and bar were very friendly and went out of their way to offer assistance and answer our questions. They were able to recommend good dinner recommendations to several restaurants within walking distance. They were able to book a private car to take us to the airport on our last day at a cost equivalent to a city taxi. We had a room on the 4th floor. As is common in Paris, it was a smaller than rooms found in the U.S., or other parts of Europe. It did have a very comfortable king-sized bed and room for our luggage. However, there were some issues with the room: we could hear noise from the hallway; noise from the streets outside the hotel and TV noise from other rooms near us; the water pressure in the shower was weak; there was no hand soap near the sink in the bathroom, only in the shower. The breakfast buffet was part of our room rate, and it was nothing special. Pre-made scrambled eggs, sausage, yogurt, and pastries. The orange juice was very good and was offered each day. One day, I asked if omelets were available and was told that they were an additional charge of 9 Euros. I cannot recall any other breakfast buffets charging additional for omelets.
