This was the first time a hotel treated us like royalty! They upgraded us to a club room with access to the club lounge, all for free. The staff member who upgraded us (I wish I could remember her name) wasn't working at the front desk—she came during check-in to welcome us. She escorted us to the elevator and explained how to use it since their elevator system is different from those in the U.S. She also mentioned that someone at the club lounge was waiting to greet us. Omg...how cool is that? The food in the lounge was insanely good, both for dinner and breakfast. They even have wine during breakfast. The room was gorgeous, sparkling clean, and had a stunning view overlooking the Eiffel Tower. Surprisingly, the room wasn't very expensive, around $200+. However, all the hotels in that area seemed to have similar pricing. Our friend stayed at one of the 2 stars hotel nearby and paid nearly the same price. I doubt they could match the royal treatment and exceptional service provided by the Hyatt Regency. Stay at Hyatt Regency. You won't regret it!

“The good the bad and the ugly”

Just back yesterday from Paris. The good- The hotel it’s about 25 minutes from the airport. They were no issues at check-in. We had two rooms on the 15th floor. The bed was comfortable.The room was basic. We had views of the arc de triomphe and the front of the hotel.if your room is not ready they will hold your luggage and you can explore the area.Our room happened to be ready You do hear slight traffic noise. Before getting in the elevator you have to press which floor you’re going to. It won’t work inside the elevator. Just like every hotel. The food is expensive and there is a Starbucks in the lobby. They give you 2 water bottles per day. We went across the street to the grocery store to get bigger bottles and other snacks. We packed snacks for the room. The hotel is within walking distance to the arc about 15-20 min. The Eiffel Tower is about 30-45 min. We took an uber because it was cold outside. We had a guide named Rita. She gave us some quick info on the tour. In my opinion I don’t think a tour guide is needed. Your waiting on long lines with them and they go in the elevator with you We also took what’s called a tuk tuk. Issac was great. Your on a golf cart but he takes you to all of the tourist areas, the louve, Eiffel, place vendome etc, for about 10-15 min to take quick pics . This way you know where everything is. He picked us up from the hotel and he had blankets ( I sanitized because that’s just me). The bar on the 34th floor was cool. It had a view of the Eiffel TowerDrinks are expensive and the appetizers we had were not accurate to American standards. My husband ordered chicken tenders that came out as 6 little circles not anything like a chicken tender but the view at night on a clear day was amazing. They light the tower every hour for 5 min. You have to go to the 25th fl then get off and press the button for the sky top bar They have security walking around the lobby and the back entrance. We went to a couple of restaurants that were recommended by the hotel. Some we found on our own. The tourist trap restaurant le relais de Venise is just that. There will be a line to get into the restaurant they only serve steak and fries (don’t get excited you’re not getting a porterhouse. You’re getting a tiny piece of steak with some plain french fries. The sauce was good. Also they wrote on the bottom of the check tips are not included. This was never done at any other restaurant that we went to. Tipping is not necessary at restaurants. The bad- the room was extremely hot and we were sweating at night even with the air off. The window does open a crap so that you can get some air in there. Service is really slow at the restaurants. At the one at the hotel .there were not many people there one night and it took for ever I ordered the lamb chop and a side of sweet potatoes. When the food came it was 3 tiny baby lamb chops that were fatty and the sweet potatoes tasted like baby food. Don’t just settle on food at the hotel explore the area. There was a pastry shop down the block and it was my go to place. It’s on the corner of rue de wall deck rouseau. It’s pastriee something I can’t remember the name it’s Right down the block. I had breakfast and lunch here and dessert lol When we first arrived we ate at a restaurant called Le hameau down the street from the hotel. We were tired and hungry and it was recommendated. It has your basic foods and everyone enjoyed it. I had an issue with the Turkey club after a few bites because I have allergies to certain things. The bread had some sort of flax on it. It was good for the 1st few bites then I had to stop eating it. Re d Napoli was ok. I had the veal Marsala but it was chewy. My husband had the pesto pasta and my daughter has the margarita pizza. Drinks were great 10.00 each Bronx pizza was a no for my husband and son. Slow service and food was not good De Franco tiny restaurant - the food was ok. I asked the waitress what her recommendation would be between the sea bass and osso bucco. She said osso bucco. Well it came out with 2 tiny pieces of the meat. I was not happy. Paying 32.00 for a tiny meal that came out.The pasta was good. We made eye contact and I feel she smirked at me. There is a mcd around the block from the hotel . My son did uber eats for chipotle one night . There are tons of restaurants to eat everywhere. Angelina’s in town was packed with people trying to get hot chocolate Do not and I repeat do not take the stairs wait for the elevator. On New Year’s Eve, my son decided he would just walk down the stairs and he got locked between two floors and couldn’t get out. He ended up in a basement area trying to find an exit door, h opened one door and there was no floor there just pipes. He was on top of the roof at another end Trying to find a way out and my husband had to come back to the hotel and go down to the floor that he was on and hold the door open for him. I’m just surprised that security did not get an alert that a door was opened or cameras did not see somebody exiting on the floor that they should not have been on.this should be on the bad review The ugly- other guests at the hotel. If people are coming out of an elevator have the courtesy to wait until everyone exits. Then you go into the elevator. You are no better than the rest of the people staying here. On our floor, people were constantly letting their doors slam at all times of the night if they had friends in another room, they would leave the door unlocked with the lock part sticking out so all you heard was banging. No offense to the smokers of the world, but everyone was smoking on the streets and people when you cough, coughing your elbow, and not just expelling your germs out into the air without covering your mouth. The hotel seemed safe but when your out walking just be aware of your surroundings. Watch your pocketbooks and wallets the same as every vacation. Especially near the tourist areas watch yourself.

This was an exceptional hotel. Professionalism was exhibited throughout the hotel. Paris and the hotel was so nice we stayed an additional night, although we had to change rooms, but that was OK. Location is great, easy to get around with a bus stop at the door, taxis, and the availability of ubers. There are plenty of shops and restaurants in walking distance. I will stay here again when in Paris.
