It is what it is a 3 star hotel in Paris. But that's not all. The location makes it better than that. The room we stayed was a double and the bed very comfy. It was clean, snug but manageable. The staff were very helpful - even the night porter..... The real magic is the location. 5 mins from 2 metro lines (which are amazingly easy to navigate) 10 mins from Gare de l'Est and the big shops. The Louvre and Place de Concord are a 20 min walk or 5 on the metro. Locally there are a host of lovely restaurants, cafes, patisseries and bars that mean you don't need to travel very far if you don't want to. And being off the main routes, the costs were sensible as well. So if you are on a budget and want to experience a bit of real Paris - this is a good recommendation.

“Extra small room”

We spent 3 nights at Royal Bergère 2 weeks ago. The hotel is well located, close to everything and we enjoyed that a lot. The people are nice and the hotel is well kept but boy, I have never seen a room as small in my entire life.We had 2 twin beds that must have been no more than 28 inches each, we had to separate them in the middle to made room to move but that way we could not open the bathroom door. The door to the shower is for skinny people, both sides of my body touched the door and the frame when entering and exiting it. Overall it was a nice hotel but oh so small. We were better with our 2 little beds otherwise they only had a double bed which we are not used to anymore, no queen size bed there.

We stayed in a double room and it was very small with a tiny bathroom and if you are a large person, you will not fit in the shower. However, the room was warm, clean and fit our needs. We stayed in a double room and it was very small with a tiny bathroom and if you are a large person, you will not fit in the shower. However, the room was warm, clean and fit our needs. We could hear others only every once in a while and we were right by the elevator but it was not noisy. The Wifi worked pretty well and there is a safe in the closet. I thought the hotel was well located. It is about a 15 min walk from Grand Nord where you can catch the train to the airport. Also about a 3 min walk to Grand Boulevards which has the 8 and 9 metro which goes to the sightseeing areas. There is a great pasta/ pizza place across the street as well as a Franpix to pick up some groceries. It is also close to Galeries Lafayette department store.
